Steve's aboudda die. Again. Shoulda switched to 1.9, that axe would've been a lot more useful. Oh yeah, he also only has one leg. 'Cause that's a thing.

These are good, except I'm dying inside cause the torch in the second picture is bothering me so much...

Which tool do you use? Blender, C4D?

Also, the easiest thing to do, if you use Blender, is just make the whole torch emit light. If you have the knowledge, you can make the top part emit.
Also, if you use Blender, you shall always use Cycles.

 

I use Mineimator because it's free.

Blender is a really good, free, software. I use it, and I feel like it is perfect once you get started.
Pretty professional.

 

I was gonna get Blender, but I already had Mineimator, so I figured I should just stick with that.

 

Mineimator is pretty restricted, and you can not create very good things with it. However, it is an okay start, you should consider moving on to a more advanced software.

 

I think it does well enough in terms of rendering. All it really is is posing, scenes and lighting.
