    I'm pretty sure nearly everyone who plays Minecraft knows of this. It was one of the most advertised additions to one of the somewhat recent updates, and if they didn't see it there, then they likely saw it in the controls menu.

    I have that exact GPU and I don't need optifine. I can get 500 FPS without optifine. The only reason I have it installed is shaders.

    Optifine is fine, but I don't really need it, I only use it for shaders (at least for the time being). My pc already runs mc at so high fps that there is no visible difference, also on hypickle optifine actually causes heartbeat lag after some games (and I think on other server too, but it seems to have to do with loading and unloading servers/worlds continuously -> minigames easily cause it)

    Before the Sprint Key became a thing, I always used to Double Tap. Since it's release, I forced myself to get used to it because not only did Double Tapping W remind me of the horrible sprinting that only old players will remember, but being able to constantly sprint was also really good (Holding control in a stripmine stops you from getting decelerated when you hit a wall).

    Also, the sprint key came out in 1.7.2, in 2013. I think most people know about the sprint key...
