I accidentally dropped my Unidentified Helmet and now I can't pick it up.

It was during dialogue after cave. My friend picked it up, she now has two of them. I cannot pick it up when she drops it again. How to solve this issue?

Edit: I've managed to pick it up. After many tries. It was scary.

either way you shouldn't be too concerned unless it's a mythic or smth

 

I was the first unidentified item the game give you. It was during tutorial that took place before the first big castle. So I was a bit scared that I broke the tutorial by dropping important item.

Dropped items have a cooldown so people cant just steal your item if you drop it accidentally, they have to wait a good bit till they can pick it up.
You can use the command /trade [player] or shift-click on a player to trade them instead
