How's Assassin's Damage?

So I have a level 81 Warrior and I'm thinking of making a new character. I don't wanna make a mage because I played as one ages ago and didn't like it. Archer just seems way too boring for me. Assassin seems like a lot of fun but I'm concerned about it's damage. I know on the help area on the website it says it is the highest damage class in the game but I've only heard people shit talk it. Is it worth it to play? Does it do extremely high damage like the description says it does?

Assassin's smoke bomb deals tons of damage over time.

 

Make a bulid that does a lot of spell bam its very good.

 

As someone who recently started from scratch playing as the ninja class, assassin doesn't seem so bad in the early game. Spin attack in particular does rather impressive damage from my experience. I've only progressed through level 23 thus far, so I can't say much about late levels.

 

Those people complaining about assassin being underpowered or some garbage like that are all pissed off that it got nerfed quite a bit. Spin attack does quite a bit of dmg, and if you level up, it blinds the enemies, making it a kinda pseudo-vanish spell for a short period of time. Its also aoe, so if you ever get cornered, you're fine.Vanish has its uses, but is quite limited. You still go invisible, which outweighs the mana cost, and at higher levels, you gain jump boost and some other stuff that I cant remember as of now. Don't underestimate invisibility. Even though it drains mana at a rather rapid pace, you can use it for sneaking around mobs that you're too lazy to deal with, use it to regen when you're low and surrounded, or you can utilize the strength boost (after a certain level) to take down a mob of enemies. As for multi-hit, I found it to be pretty useless. It used to do insane amounts of damage. Now that it doesn't people complain. It does less dmg than spin attack for more mana. Maybe for elemental dmg? But finally, probably the assassin's best ability, smoke bomb. So much dmg. SOOO much dmg. Mana cost isn't too high either. You just drag a group of enemies , and lay one at your feet. They're all DEAD. Also, assassin's dagger's attacks pierce. You can kill multiple enemies with its basic attack at once, unlike the archer and warrior.

 

The following is just my opinion. I really like assassin because it's not overpowered, or underpowered, it's a nice intermediate. I've played all the classes to at least lvl 75 and think that the assassin was the most fun. Btw, I think archer does more damage.

 

I've seen a 14k multihit assassin and 22k smoke bomb, so it's damage output isn't all that bad.
