How You Discovered Minecraft!

Back in 2009, a friend sent me a link to 4Chan saying "look at the pictures of this game!' So, the day I started playing Minecraft was the day I found the darkest part of the internet. PS Never go on 4Chan...

I tried to go on 4Chan once. The key word in that sentence is "tried." That place is so cluttered and hard to browse. You can never find what you're looking for.

A friend in school let me try his account so I played Minecraft Beta 1.3_01, then I bought it 2 weeks later.

 

the point is to try and find something new or different. You never know what to expect on 4chan which is why most people go on it in the first place. There are some bad things on it like on any other internet site, but it doesn't make it "the worst place on the web" by far.

 

4chan has a lot of comedy gold, it has the best stories puns and memes than all the other sites. the downside is that it is also filled to the brim with porn and shitposts which scare most people off.

 

This'll be a long story. So it started off a few years ago, around summer 2011. I went on youtube and found some Minecraft videos. I started watching them, and they fascinated me. The first videos I ever probably watched were from SkydoesMinecraft prison escape videos. (Im not some annoying kid who yells "budder!") I remember seeing the melon massacre episode, and it made me laugh so hard. this is when I knew I wanted minecraft. I asked my mom if I could buy it, and she said maybe for christmas, which was in a few months. I watched a lot more videos about hunger games with bajancanadian and stuff, and even watched some with my sister who hates video games. The first time i actually played Minecraft was at my local library on a crappy computer demo version. I believe it was around 1.6. I remember building this oak wood house that I thought was really amazing at the time, but was probably pretty bad. I never played on easy mode, or any mode with mobs. Always peaceful. The second time I ever played Minecraft was at my mom's friend's house. This kid named Zach let me play on his pc. It was kind of awkward, but I built a big house that I thought was pretty cool at the time. About a month later, I finally got Minecraft. I was so excited, I believe I was playing in 1.6.2. I remember living in a desert world with a small acacia house. I would always mine tunnels in creative mode so I didnt get lost, and I made this large 10x10 quarry from the surface to see if I could find diamonds quicker, and little did i know they spawned below y:12. I also remember finding my first diamonds. I was in survival mode, in a cave. I walked up a block and then on the floor, I see the one block I needed. Diamond ore. I was so excited I laughed in joy and I mined it. I also remember not understanding armor values, so I wore one of every armor peice to look cool. I think it was an iron helmet, golden chestplate, leather leggings, and diamond boots. I was the coolest noob around town. Anyway, thats how I started Minecraft. so yeah. bye.

 

I was at my friends home and we didn't know what we could do, so he decided to show me Minecraft and the first Minecraft I ever saw was a modded Minecraft with the Mod MineColony. I loved this mod

 

Ok. here goes.


I was really interested in this game called Lego Universe. Like, so interested I cried if I couldn't play it (I was five, OK. Don't judge.) then it shut down. I was heartbroken. My mum tried to find me another fun game to play. I ended up with minecraft. At first I though it was crap, cos I didn't know about multiplayer yet. I played it for a couple of weeks (I had to keep looking up crafting recipes online) realised it was boring, so I stopped playing(I also had a crappy computer) That would have been the end of my minecraft career, if it not for a stroke of genius by my mother. She bought me the POCKET EDITION of minecraft. I played that for a couple of years, having fun etc. The I inherited my Dad's old computer. I got into computer stuff. Eventually I put 2 & 7 together and came up with nine. I remembered my login to the PC version and started playing.
I joined just before 1.7.10. I continued playing to this day. And finally, I discovered wynncraft just before 1.9

That's basically it

 

I discovered Minecraft from my cousin,to which I usually play with today, in 2012. When I was going over to his house to hang out,we were texting,and he told me about a game called Minecraft. He had mistaken it for CastleMiner Z and thought it was a good game.When we got over to his house,he plugged in his Xbox 360 (RIP in Pieces) and started playing his single player world. At first,I was judgemental,saying that it had bad graphics, and there's not much to do. Soon later,We started to build an oak square as a house,and I was hooked,I couldn't get enoughof this game. When I left later,I asked my parents to get me this game. My brothers joined in and we had a huge dirt house,and while I was build a dirt tower upon our mighty dirt square,one of us discovered gold,and started freaking out. We had a giant mission of repetitive dying to get that gold,and I felt so great when we had finally gotten it out of the cave. Later,we found a village and took it over because their houses looked much better than ours. After that,it became a creative world and we just messed around with what we found on the internet. A couple months later,We discovered PC and got that,which gave birth to my first name,which unfortunately I couldn't choose, which was GRAY_BROTHERS.
Days later,One of my friends mentioned Sky's Server,and I was amazed when I joined. Minecraft had been lonely for so long,and now I was surrounded by people,it was mind-blowing. I will always remember my first impression,scrub.

 

It was 2011 or something and I saw someone doing some mod with bees or something. Who really got me into mc was paulsoaresjr who got me intrigued with his survive and thrive series 2 I think. So when I finally got mc in 2013 I knew almost everything. If you know someone who wants to get into mc check out the playlist here. I saw Sethbling do tons of redstone which got me interested with command blocks. Then I just got it XD

 

i've been watching mc vidoes for about 2 years before i got the game and from wathing those vidoes i now know enough not to be a nub and know enough to survive the game
