How Will We Get The New Identifications For Newly Modified Items Next Update?

Hello there, I was just wondering this but how will we, as the players, get to have the new ids and major ids on old items we already have? Say that you have Gravity in 1.18 but since it's getting a major id next update, what will we have to do to get that major id to change it to a 1.19 version of Gravity?

I guess nothing. The item will just get its new IDs.

The changes will be automatically applied to items, nothing special you need to do.
