For CMD applications, can you use published content (datapacks/mods/software) as evidence?
Additionally there doesnt seem to be a lot of info about CMD themselves, such as what specifically will people with just that role will be doing (as the GM docs only talks about GM responsibilities)

Are Builder applicants notified that their application has been submitted like in the past, cus I haven't gotten anything like that, or does it just mean they're still submitting past applications?

 

No notifications, it's all done manually now so you will get a response when it's positive mainly.

 

Does that mean the application process will be slower than usual then? Cus I had to wait 2-ish months so would it double?

If you have applied while the panel was down, you do not have to apply again, we will review the current applications too. You can, however, reapply if you wish to do so.

If you have applied before the panel was down, it is still there and will be reviewed normally.

Hello everyone!

As we are reopening the panel we are unfortunately also putting GM applications on HOLD for now.
We just had a big batch of new fresh GMs that recently joined the team and we probably won't need new ones for a while!

This doesn't mean they will be closed forever, just until further notice.

Disclaimer: If you've submitted an application waiting for a response, we will get to them when we reopen the applications. No need to submit a new one. However, if you feel like you've improved, you can always resubmit!

This is a great time to mention that the ability to edit apps would certainly be a great feature, so that when you only want to make some slight adjustments you can immediately change them, instead of sending an entirely new app that looks 95% the same.

Another con of making a new app is being practically pushed back in the line if your first app isn't good enough.
During the time the app is on hold, people will get better, so they usually would want to keep their app up to date instead of submitting a new one and waiting an extra-long while.

 

Okay idea, but it would overload the staff team and apps would get processed even slower. As lots of people are checking out apps and puting votes on it or whatever even when it seems like nothing's happening.

 

I don't understand how it would 'overload' them and how processing would become slower, but if there's an issue with the app changing while the team's voting, you can set a limited number of edits available, the lower the number the better.

 

I don't know anything about the application process, but couldn't they just make it that you can edit your app until it gets looked at by someone?

 

doesnt xenforo have a thing for mods to see edit history anyway? just for that there shouldnt be any reason you can't edit staff apps for proofreads and small edits and shit
