Not exactly. But you have the right idea.
The economy is fucked because the rarety and demand is extremely low. It is not easy enough to gain emeralds compared to their worth, and the circulation isn't working exactly like in real life.
In Wynn, emeralds enters circulation, but never exits. The solution is to either have a vaible exit, or make it harder for emeralds to enter.

So it's not because emeralds are worthless compared to other materials, it's just because they are worthless in general.
A currency converter would do just about jack about the problem. That is unless it costs currency (quite a bit of it) to convert.

    Are you sure?

I mean, just because you wear a corset doesn't mean that you will weigh less.

An LE might not be of large volume, but its density is incredible, something impossible. In real life, I am assuming that even a crane would have difficulties picking up 64 emerald blocks compressed into 1 liquified emerald.

It'd be one hell of a glass bottle holding that pressure...

And just like in real life the value of the material might not matter.
Let's just say you have a quarter (coin) and a 10 dollar bill.
Obviously the 10 dollar bill is worth more.
Now imagine melting down the quarter to a perfect cube, and "washing" the print off of the 10 dollar bill. Which one is worth the most now? And are they actually worth the same as before?
Quick answer is the coin is worth more, and no. They are not worth $10.25 anymore.
The bill and coin has their values because they are set by the current state of the currency. Even though the state may change, the fact that 100 cents is equal to 1 dollar will never. Same goes for emerald blocks and liqufied emerald in Wynncraft.

For anyone wondering how this has anything to do with the topic at hand, we are arguing the validation of the currency and math used in the equation of the thread.

    it wont stay liquid tho.
technically emeralds don't have a liquid state, they are soluble tho

I would say that LE are minted with a special technique only known and used by the banks. They know that more than 64EB is extremely impractical to carry around, so they create liquified emeralds as a currency, while carefully regulating its supply. This may actually have arisen from scarcity of emeralds - the banks had to find an alternative to avoid the value of emeralds from climbing to the point where they're no longer viable as currency.

Also, I think it's not all that relevant to go over whether liquid emeralds are feasible in real life, Wynncraft has magic, there's very likely some magic in the process. Also - liquifying emeralds would cost money. If you're just turning 64EB, through an expensive process, to a substance worth 64EB, you're making a loss, aren't you?

I'd also like to point out two other assumptions made here-

That the item of an EB is the size of a block. I'd say it's 1/64 blocks, the size of the item on the ground, meaning that a placed block, is, in fact, worth 1LE.

That emeralds are of a comparable rarity to IRL, which they're not. Just look at the volume of emerald underneath Almuj, compared to the size of the map it all came from.

I wasn't necessarily referring to the value of a LE, but rather when Yuno said it had less mass, making it not to be the equivalent of 64 EB, which I tried to disprove. Of course, my disproval of it assumes that it is actually possible to compress 64 cubic meters of emerald into a liquified state that can be fit inside of a little glass bottle - but hey, this is Wynncraft, a land of magic! ;D
I did say it'd be impossible, but, the mass would still be there.

Getting fairly off topic. I'll stop doing that, but if anyone has anything to add to what I said ^^ feel free to.
