Wynn, Gavel, and Fruma are the 'official' provinces. Corkus isn't recognized as an province but is large enough that some people consider it one. The ocean is the ocean. SE isn't a province but a part of Wynn that was overtaken by the Darkness.

I was looking back at the wiki and it doesn't say that actually.

But it gets better it does say that corkus is a province in the wiki

 

Wynn, Gavel, Fruma are provinces, Corkus is not but trying to be, Ocean is not, Dern is a realm, SE is/was Wynn and not a province

 

The wiki is fan run, and Corkus isn't an official province yet.

That was actually a mistake that someone pointed out to me a couple days ago. I've asked the other wiki people since then and will correct the name of the page once I get a green-light

 

My take on the yellow-named areas on the map: all provinces are regions (areas with a yellow name), not all regions are provinces.

The certain provinces are Wynn, Gavel, and Fruma. The Ocean is just the Ocean. No proper nation claims all the oceans belong to them, like in the Wynncraft universe, no nation claims the oceans for themselves. The Ocean is the ocean, a buffer between Wynn & Fruma and Gavel. Somewhat likewise, the Silent Expanse is not a province either, rather instead a forgotten corner of Wynn. No one really claims it because the Wynn province doesn't really acknowledge its existence.

Corkus Island is where things get weird. Corkus is pretty much self-governing, and its not in the middle any territorial disputes. However, no one really recognizes them as a nation. It's similar to other nations like kosovo or taiwan: a large majority of proper countries don't recognize them, but they are somewhat a nation. Along with that, there could also be some other nations like Somaliland which no proper nation actually recognizes and instead view them as a part of Somalia. Corkus is de facto a province, but de jure they're just the bird island, so I'll go with the latter because thats how it stands politically in Wynncraft.

Something about the Silent Expanse:
While it was/is a part of the Wynn land mass, I don't suspect that it was ever a part of the Wynn government. I say this as its clear the last major civilization there was the Olm, and I'm fairly certain the old didn't start Wynns current government. So when we are talking about provinces, I'm not sure saying it was formally a part of Wynn is correct exactly.

Different topic, what the fuck is up with Wynns Government? We say The Wynn Province as if it has a coherent government (Dispite that not being what it means.) and yet the place has separate kings for two of its main cities, mayors in a few and everything east of Detlas seems like it has its own separate government/no government. The politics of this place make no fucking sense at all.

I think that SE might be the most province-ish area actually, based on its definition. It is a part of a larger state (Dern).

 

It is generally accepted that there are 4

 

Wynn and Gavel are obviously provinces.
Fruma will obviously be province when it comes out.
Everything in the ocean are their own little islands, not provinces.
Corkus is trying to become a province but for now is still part of the ocean.
Silent expanse is just a part of Wynn that has been 'infected'.
