How Is Wynn Planning On Handling 1.9

I believe that Jumla will have to gain 10,000 Cups of Coffee in order to code a brand new system to handle the features of 1.9. There's very little chance that the server will be 1.8 with 1.9 players due to the changes it brings, it will most likely take a while for even Hypixel and other servers to update.

There was a gamerule added that stops the normal 'Kicked for Flying' message when using Elytra. This may cause problems with the detection system however (unless it's really good), allowing people to wear Elytra and fly hack.

 

1.9 won't change Wynncraft if they don't want it to. You can disable offhand and the attack speeds

Wynncraft PvP isn't even the same as normal Minecraft PvP, get used to it, it's here to stay, plus it's toggleable, so there's that.

I doubt Wynncraft will even use the off-hand feature.

Also, "I hope they never update to 1.9" are you FUCKING KIDDING ME, do you even realize how 1.9 will benefit Wynncraft!?

-It's possible for EVERY weapon to have it's own texture

-The new PvP, while some may hate it, will make Wynncraft's attack speed more justified.

-PARTICLES NO LONGER CAUSE LAG! THE REALM OF LIGHT PORTAL CAN BE ENTIRELY MADE OF GREEN PARTICLES!

-Command block changes, many new sounds, all sorts of stuff for GMs to play around with to make the game better, etc.

Please do your research before begging Wynncraft to never update to 1.9

 

Well, imagine having easy access to potions or horses in the offhand slot, or even having two different weapons to attack with different elements easily. Or even shields if they add them, because those can also have many textures due to durability. I doubt it, but shields could eventually be a defencive option.

Elytra could be fun but it would be quite op.

The best part about 1.9 is PURPLR STAIRS

 

you wont be able to use the off hand weapon tho. the wynncraft weapon system works on left and right clicking, unless they can completely disable the off hand feature they will need to reinvent the combat system.

I have been playing the snapshots before the release, and I personally think the best part is the chorus. I love the look of the plant, and the fruit is cool for battle

Chorus plants.

I for one love the way they look, but it could cause a problem. From what we have seen in (what we assume to be) Dern, it's all black and purple. Not pale. And you need endstone to plant the chorus on...

But I am sure WC will find some way around that using commands.

But there is one useful thing for the offhand.

It's an extra slot of inventory space!

And with offhand, perhaps they can add charms or something that only activate while in the offhand. And you either choose to use a charm or a shield or something like that. I made a few trial figures like that while making some maps, so I know it could work. Basically like the acessories, but in your offhand.

 

the thing is that the second hand activates if the off hand item has a right click item when the main hand item doesn't have one.
if your main hand item has uses for both clicks you wont be able to use it for spells or use your off hand item.
if your main item has only a left click function you wont be able to use it for spells as the right click will trigger the off hand item (if it has a right click function).
if your main item has only a left click function you will be able to cast spells but you wont be able to use your off hand item (if it doesn't have a right click function).
if your main item has a right click function you will be able to cast spells but wont be able to use a off hand item.
what can happen is because we are using blocks as weapons now we have the possibility for 8 spells (rrr rrl rlr rll lll llr lrl lrr) so we can use the 4 extra options for the off hand spells (they will still be triggered through the main hand item tho), so we can have a secondary weapon for each class.

Keep in mind that probably a good chunk of their playerbase don't even know how to downgrade to 1.8, from the looks of it, it seems that good ol' Mineplex haven't upgraded to 1.9 yet, so it seems that this race is already over....
