Houses

Ok, just here me out. Wynncraft is a huge and vast world, with great builders like Grian. But what if you could create your own thing in Wynncraft? Like creative plots or something? And it doesnt even need to be creative plots,you can have upgrades to your house.
Some things you can do at your house:
Keep Your Pets at home:Self explanatory
Show your house and builds(or if upgrade house,show off your upgrades)
And other cool stuff that Wynncraft can come up with!
If Creative Plots,you can buy blocks from certain shops!
Maybe even building competitions judged by staff!

 

This quite simply isn't the direction Wynn wants to go.
Go read some other housing threads for better explanations, but this isn't going ingame.

 

Have this idea/suggestion been discussed before? In my opinion, no. I don't think it would add benefit the overall Wynncraft gameplay.

Why? AFK locations like Detlas would do the trick.

Housing won't work as it will produce immense amounts of lag because of all the new chunks.
Lets say every player gets a tiny plot, 16x16, a single chunk. Multiply it by the tens of thousands of players on the server and you'll get a lot of chunks loading and reloading.
It could be resolved by moving housing to a different server but then what's the point? It won't be wynn anymore.

 

I don't rly like the creative plot idea but the housing thing could be cool if there were houses the player could purchase for themselves with emeralds. Just a thought though.

 

If they did this, this should just rename the server to "The Sims"

What makes wynncraft special is that its not a minigame server. Housing would ruin the feeling of the server.

A simple way to reduce the amount of people getting houses would be a large le cost for property and rent. It COULD also be possible to make certain rentable areas off the wynn/gavel provinces or areas that are purely "player villages" with prebuilt houses, but I may just make the housing thread to end all housing threads, just not now.

 

Honestly I'd quite like to be able to buy a house in one of the cities, but it'd cause a lot of lag and it'd be very hard to implement so it fits in with Wynn. Like, if there was a player house in Detlas where you could edit the interior and make a house that was physically in the server rather than on a separate world, this'd fit in with the lore somewhat, but this'd not work since there's only limited space in all the cities in the server. Overall the idea just won't work, since it'll either not fit in with the rest of the server or there would be other issues.
