House Master

Houses:
This is something I have thought of in quite a while now. Basically It's just houses in Wynncraft. A house Master stands in front of a village in Gavel. You talk to him and he asks if you want to buy a house. If you say yes, you get acces to the village and when you enter, you get teleported to your house. You can buy houses for Emeralds and then have it forever ( It sounds really OP, but the cost is about 40 LE, so It's expensive). But I thought: 'instead of going with the extra enderchest only for Quest items, this might do it'. Outside your house you have a garden, and in that garden, a House Expander could stand. The House Expander's purpose is so you can get more chests in your house (Your house is already decorated, so you can't buy items for your house). When you click on the House Expander and click on "Buy chest 1" the chest spawns in your house.

NO houses are terrible idea... it doesnt fit the rpg and mcmmo style, idk if the previous post was yours, but it was terrible.
Edit: we all want more inventory space, but salted or lotem or grian idk somebody mentioned something about an other better bank just for quest items so...

 

Villagers have houses? Houses is a good idea.

The issue normally is, that everyone has 1 of these. (Well, all rich people) That would mean there would have to be a TON of houses, which would have to be generated or something, BUT, If there are like 6 houses, 1 for each tier, you could have it so everyone is invisible, and you couldn't cast spells or something that's visible, so there's an illusion that you're alone in your home.

 

Yeah because villagers are npcs, and the houses is for the roleplay.

There's literally no point in homes unless you add some form of reward or entertainment:
"Oh wow! Now I have to walk even further to get to my bank!"
But if you add some form of entertainment, or an invitation system:
"Hey guys lets chill at my place and get ready for the _____."

 

All I can think of when reading through this thread is SAO!

 

Indeed, It's supposed to be a bank.
Instead of just increasing the bank size, doing this makes it feel like a bigger investment, and you have to carefully think about what you put where. It's a bit of management just like you have to manage your inventory.

 

RIP bank buildings. Now I suppose I can agree with you, but would there be a type of quick travel to your home? And where would you be once you left it?

im preety sure it should be like memory parnoia, where you go to a certain area walk into the one house that was built, and you get teleported into a different world or a place far far away for example x 10000000 z 1000000 one of the many billion homes there are.

This won't happen. Being able to decorate a house means that everyone needs a house for themselves, which means there would have to be hundreds of thousands houses to be generated etc.

 

or you can make a couple different templates (tier 1 house with flower, tier 1 house with carpet, tier one house with flower and carpet) and keep everyone invis.

 

Well, That's totally possible, the issue is: He means he wants to decorate it at his own will, and put the items wherever he thinks they look good. If there's 1 pre-set position it's mostly just there to waste your money on.
(Also, with 10 decoration, there would need to be 10^10 houses PER tier, this wouldn't lag much, since there's no generation or anything, but I wouldn't want to be the builder to copy paste 6 * 10^10 Houses + terrain.)

 

This is an awesome idea, but how the fuck are we going to fit so many houses in such a limited space.
