Community Event Hide and Seek

Hello everyone! As we begin the 4th week of the event I will be lifting the restrictions on Secret Discoveries In The Provence of Wynn. Don't worry as Gavel's Secret Discoveries are still locked off. These changes will take effect in November 21st, 2022.

i love when the competition is casually rigged against me and the host goes back on a previously made decision just because people think i'm too good at video games

 

I don’t think it is very odd that the majority of the players would support any decision that increases their odds. Everybody wants to win, so people wanting to start over when someone else wins is only logical. Therefore I think it wasn’t a good decision to do it over.

If you won the original round (before the decision to start over), then I feel like you are the legitimate winner. But to say that it is just because you are too good at video games would be an extreme oversimplification. Even if the competition were “rigged”, that doesn’t mean it’s rigged against you specifically.

• WaffleWrecker and I both found Spek
• Spek looked at his replaymod footage to determine the winner
• Spek concluded that Waffle's find was suspicious. I personally saw him through a nametag in the tree
• Becuase Spek didn't want to declare me a winner despite the other finder's uncleared suspicions, I proposed to resolve the situation via duel, like it was a day prior
• Spek agreed under the same conditions as last time - 5 minutes of preparation and come back to the hiding spot to fight
• I went back to Olux to change everything, which roughly took 2-3 minutes. The other competitor was AFK in /class for 4 minutes
• Spek was silent for the following 5 minutes and without elaborating, decided on a redo instead.

I'm not upset because it was redone. I'm upset because I've been lied to and told to prepare for nothing just for the host to change his mind AFTER the decision was made and the prep was carried out.

 

I do wonder what this means.

The rest of your story makes sense. Though your original post doesn’t really reflect what really happened, does it?

 

Spek said Waffle wasn't even looking in the direction of his hiding spot. Waffle wanted to prove it with a replay of his own but couldn't, as he claimed how he was on the wrong client.

Hey guys a little update. Hide and Seek will be postponed until next week as I'm recovering from sickness.

Hide and seek is back on! We start the day strong with a time out in thanos. Remember, there are only 3 days left in this event so any chances you have are becoming very slim!

 

The Final day of this event will happen on December 24th.
