Speculation Hidden Button

Ok I am not sure if this has to do with the ??? quest but I found a wooden button in the pond at a fisherman's house in Nivla Woods. I have only seen it once so far and it looked like it needed an archer to shoot the button. Later when I came back to the spot it was covered up by dirt so it seems that it is exposed by a piston.

Clearly you're not supposed to see that button, because it's apart of the easter egg: Sage's Humble Abode. Not related to ??? (I've already scavenged the place). Sorry.
