I found this in my images today, from the trailer day.

I'm bewildered by what Tasim was doing in the trailer.

 

In what way

 

I can't see a timeframe for him to be mass-murdering Fruman soldiers. He doesn't have combat skills pre-exile and post-exile he's recruited immediately.

 

What does that have to do with the post :raccoonpensive:

Post-exile he has the combat skills... but you're right in saying it doesn't fit the timeframe.
That part of the animation isn't viewing something he does, but something he /could/ do. You're shown two possibilities, one where he is a Sovereign, and one where he is Not. This is meant to be Two viewing the potentials branching from the decision of either picking him or picking the player.

 

Oh, hum. It's been a long time since I watched the trailer. That's interesting to put in... although I personally wouldn't have done it. Basing the plot of a trailer around lore from the end of what it's announcing isn't something I'd do. People have limited memories. People aren't going to think back to the trailer and rewatch it and go "Oh, that's Two's power".

I mean, some will. Viewers aren't idiots, but they aren't geniuses either... unless I'm projecting my own abysmal memory?

did you read the original post? i'm so confused why are we talking about Tasim (i get he beats up soldiers in the trailer but that's not what the post is about)

 

It's done that way with the intent that it would mislead most viewers into thinking Tasim would be on their side (which is reinforced by him being listed on the website as a resistance member)

 

...hm? I guess that makes sense...
