Help Function

Recently I have noticed in a few quests you may need some help from other players to complete this mission, if your like me and have basically 0 friends that play you are stuck with a problem, the only way to get help is to either a) wait for another player doing that quest to come by or b) go on the forums and ask . The idea of the help function is to basically send a message to all the players in the world that you need help, a little message that you would of written saying what you need help with and you co-ordinates. Obviously you are going to need some sort of reward for the player that comes and helps, maybe some emeralds or something like that. and then there's the problem of people spamming this function, to stop this make it cost either in-game money or real money. However if you choose to make it cost emeralds to use then people will abuse this and ask for people in their party for help so people in their party will get emerald, to stop this from happening add something that stops them from doing so.

Thing is that asking on the forums

1. Reaches more people
2. Is free for the player
3. Can't be spammed to annoy all in-game players

There's not really much to gain from this suggestion.

 

We already have that...
it's called shouts...
How long have you been playing on this server to not notice it?

 

I have, (I'm only level 47) but I find that it isn't that useful as there is nothing that inspires players to help others

fair point, and when you put it like that I makes me seem like a d***, however I do feel that there needs to be something that makes players want to help other players, also after level 100 there aren't any more quests (I believe) so having this option to help people might give them something to do, rather than start all over again at level 1

 

Cough there aren't any quests over 98 actually. But I think you just contradicted yourself. You said there should be an emerald reward, but then you said lvl 100s dont have anything to do, so they won't need a reward

 

Unless this costs real money, then the /help command would replace /shout, since it is cheaper and... well...
Yeah it's mostly cheaper.

Also, you said that shouts don't inspire people...
If shouts don't, then the /help would also not do that either.

 

Just go to detlas wc1 and ask for help
