RIP all faction servers, won't miss 'em

 

Serves those servers right.

I mean 20 months is a long time to change something, but these servers were " FUCK IT! YOLO BIATCH" And decided to give their players advantages. And thus, they pay the price.

 

When the EULA changed:
Bigger Servers (High Pickle, Mien Pl0><, Lil' Waynecraff): "Oh, it looks like we can't have paid-for buffs anymore. We should comply and have cosmetics so we don't get shut down."

Smaller Servers (Cancerous Factions Server, Toxic Factions Server, Worst-Of-The-Community Factions Server): "Pssh, who gives a f*ck? They didn't enforce it with the old one, so they probably won't with this new one. Pay us a small loan of $1000000 and get /op!"

10 Months ago:
Bigger Servers: "We have new cosmetics! Look at all this awesome stuff!"

Smaller Servers: "LOLOLOLOLOL WE CAN STILL SELL OP BUFFS AND NOBODY CAREEEES! FOR $9001 YOU CAN HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THE SERVER!"

Now:
Bigger Servers: "Oh, servers are getting blacklisted? Sure glad we followed that EULA!"

Smaller Servers: "Oh sh*t oh sh*t oh sh*t, we're f*cked!"


Point and laugh at the dumb servers! Point and laugh.

 

I tried to warn some of the community on a server that I slightly support, and some guy (100 dollar rank that gives OP items) messaged me:
Donor: Yeah, right.
Me: (Link to this video.)
Donor: That's a fake.
Then I just start chatting in the shoutbox about this for 10 mins, and I come back...
Donor (in public chat): GUYS! I FOUND OUT THAT MOJANG IS BLACKLISTING THE SERVER!
Me: Oh, so now you listen.
Donor (ignoring me): OMG TELL THE OWNER!

getting Ultra gives all kits except achievement kits i think


That's pay to win, when I have to work hard for those kits and people pay money to get them easily.

Um... no? The ranks don't do that, I'm a legend and I still buy every kit with gems like everyone else...

 

Mate, they get coins and emeralds. Regulars can do the same, if they're competent enough. I see nothing wrong with what they're doing, as regulars can achieve the same as donors.

 

There was a bug where if you donated for a rank, you would automatically get every single feature in Champions. It was patched though, and now I have to buy everything :(

As Ant said in the video, they've had ages, and it's about time Mojang actually took care to make it so that a game that they own is actually fair for all to play online. They should've enforced this stronger since the start, and it's kindof dumb that they didn't. At least Hypixel took a smart route with this, since theirs isn't pay to win much. Wynn doesn't seem to be in danger really, aside from very minor things. Yay us.

 

Please close CosmicPVP....... it takes the meaning of pay2win to the next level.

 

Nope. I still have to buy kits, except for the ones I had from actual p2w ultra back in the day, those are unlocked for me.

 

Well I don`t mind pay2win mc servers. But I don`r like pay2win mobile games like Clash Royale

 

What do you find differentiates the two so that you are okay with one but not the other? Just curious.

 

Well i don`t like pay2win phone games because of the people who make tons of money (youtubers). They do those "unboxing" videos where they (in clash royale) open up 20 Super Magical Chests, and it is really annoying to watch get something that you want but treat it like trash

 

Not to mention the server where you can pay $50 to get instantly unbanned AND the ability to ban anyone. MineBomb, I think it was called?

 

Holy shit... I just checked out their website out of curiosity. There is actually a LEADERBOARD for who gives them the most money. Of course, that only means it will be even more satisfying to watch them shit their pants about the EULA.

 

Lucky for me, they can't touch Mineplex. They're 100% EULA abiding.

I honestly hope all the servers get another chance though. I mean, Mojang should let them change their P2W mechanics into cosmetics only. I don't play on any of those servers, but I think they deserve a chance, right?

 

They do deserve a chance, but there's one problem...

The lot of them are faction servers.

 

I hate the cancerous faction servers, but if they follow the rules, why can't they exist? I never play on them, but I'm sure a lot of people do.

 

A lot of people do play on them.

And a lot of people pay for them.
Like, pay A LOT.

That's just how faction servers survive, pretty much.
