I am not a fresh-out-of-water noob, I had my experience with html, lua and some bit of java, just not enough to worth mentioning them, also my mind is amazingly well set-up for coding.

That's good to hear. After you learn C++ if you don't already know look into Python

Good point. But you could also step it up in the RAM section...

I would know, I'm trying to make a server myself.

I used that as an example. I don't use 1GB for any of my Minecraft Servers

I use about 16GB as a minimal amount of RAM for any of my servers.

GOOD NEWS: Toxic has confirmed that the work is starting. We will still accept applications until about halfway through, as after that it will be hard to explain everything. Once me, robo and Tox get the final touches sorted out, we will begin the work.

I'm not on the team list. I was accepted, though.
    Neither would I.
I'm doing a small private server, so nah.

I dont know if this has already been said but, coding for minecraft doesn't use C++, games that utilize the newer DirectX game engines do use C++ coding, but minecraft uses Java as far as I know.(I'm not talking about the windows 10 beta)

Nice! However, when you said "mission script", are you talking about the dialogue or something else (like code)? Also, I think that we should get a forum private conversation group to get the Dev Team for this together (unless if you have the Skype Group ready soon).

Skype group would be the best, as I unfortunately can't fit everyone into a group convo. And yes, its the mission dialogue.

If you're wanting to join the team, fill out an application form. If you are applying specifically as a builder, send us a few pics of any previous builds you've created along with the application :D

This is never going to work for a couple of reasons:
    • If you 'hire' the average 10-year-old Joe from the forums who knows absolutely nothing about programming, debugging, game design, marketing, finances or anything of that sort, you will find that 99% will drop out of the project after learning that difficult work is involved and you actually have to be talented.
On that note, you will find individuals claiming to be 'incredibly talented' at, for example, web design, when their entire experience with it was a two-week Intro to HTML class in high school.
    • It's generally not a sound decision to attempt to create custom plugins which sound incredibly complex when you know, in your own words, next to nothing of Java.
    • You might get a cease-and-desist from Activision.
    • Instead of just coming up with cool gameplay ideas and posting them, you need to be able to fathom what would be required to make them a reality.
    • The ideas you have posted are ridiculously big. It is better to start with a small concept and grow it organically (like Wynncraft), instead of trying to start everything all-out.
    • Money. Who do you expect to work for free except for the script kiddies mentioned in point 1? Which host will reliably keep up the servers and website for free? Who will provide the voice acting, web design, script writing, programming, mapmaking, 3D modeling, and texturing for zero payment? Which actually talented person would do that for free?
How will you pay or reward your 'contributors', most of whom are probably under 18?
    • Money again. How will you generate income from this? And if you do, how can you be sure that it won't be the odd $10 a month from donations but a sustainable source of income?
You might take the example of Salted, Grian & Jumla as a success story and model for Minecraft servers. But I can 99% guarantee you that even though their idea was well implemented and flourishing, there were some dark spots in the server's history where it was close to not happening.
If you can come up with solutions to each of these then your project is a tiny bit feasible. But in its current state, it is entirely unworkable.

*Sigh* Great, here comes the dread...
Okay, lemme stop you right there, pal. At this time, yes - this could possibly become a great flop, a massive disaster that never even was finished, and everyone could go back to their lives. But then again, it couldn't. Look at it like a coin. At the moment, a server this big, while promising something so exciting, probably won't get itself off the ground. I mean, hell, this thread was just a survey/idea to start out with! But, if there is a chance this could work, if there is even the slightest sliver of hope that'll turn out great, then I am determined to work on this project as much I can, no matter what. I know at least two other servers that are already dreaming big. Do you see them quitting because of a big bump on the road? I don't.
If anything, you can compare a server like GuardianCraft to gameplay thats close to Exodus: Season two - an interruption in space adventure map. Massive terrain, insane builds, a resource pack with - oh, would you look at that - flippin' voice actors! and its only an adventure map!
I agree with your argument - I admit, Activision might find out about this and shut it down (I was planning to rename everything anyway) , or I won't have consent to pay anyone, or that I don't know jack shit about coding. But I know one thing. It's my problem. Not your's. Not anyone else's. Therefore, I see no reason why you took time to actually review my thread.

TD;LR thank you for noticing the flaws in the plan, greatly appreciate it, now let me work on it.
    Yours sincerely,
    Toxicdrule.

I don't think you can make many of these statements for you do not have all of the information to prove these statements are correct.
