Guardiancraft: Destiny Minecraft Server!

@Toxicdrule I was inform by FlubbyB that you were looking for a location to build/develop/have a place to host Guardian Craft and I was interested if you would come onto our Network and we can host the gamemode as an extra feature that our network would offer.

We currently have four individually, dedicated, physical servers that host all of our Minecraft server, but all of them are being developed with our new gamemodes. If you are interested then feel free to reply. We are interested in hosting this idea for it's something we find interesting.

 

Toxic is currently away, but he'd love if you wanted to help out. I need to check if Robo gave me access to the conversation invites, if not I'll inform Toxic when he's online.

I would like to help!
I am a Jack of All Trades to say so.
I know command blocks, world painter, can do 3D models based on a texture, and know a bit of C++ (totally useless to the server, but that means I could learn Java if I have enough time).

 

Just needs more story than the actual destiny and i'll play.

A couple days ago, I was just chilling out, playing Hypixel, building a house in the new housing thing, then went to the kitchen to get a snack. I grabbed my phone on the way to check out the Wynncraft forums and look at this page. So I started thinking about GuardianCraft, how will it be like Wynn, how will it be different. Eventually I started thinking about wynncraft. I decided that when I was done with my snack, I would finish my house on hypixel and then grind for levels in nesaak on Wynn. And I thought, what if there was housing in Wynn, or GuardianCraft!! This is how GuardianCraft will be a little different than wynncraft (besides the obvious differences). So you are just playing GuardianCraft, and get tired of quests and grinding. Imagine if there was a place you could go to, similar to housing on hypixel, where you can build your own ship! You would unlock blocks from side quests like wynncraft has. After finishing your ship, you will talk to an NPC who will say "Sorry, I can't let this old peice of metal into the air until the boss signs off my paper". The boss will be referring to a handful of builders who will also check each built ship to approve or disapprove it. This won't be to judge the player's building, but to make sure there's nothing "inappropriate" flying around the Galaxy. I thought this was a really cool idea housing in destiny, and I hope you guys do too. Toxicdrule I know that you like Hypixel so you may be familiarized with the housing system. Please feel free to tweak anything you think is bad in reply form.

 

Sounds like the idea is getting somewhere. I think it's going to be hard to find someone to look at every ship, because if you have a well populated server then that's going to take a while and the patience of the person who checks needs to be very high.

Sounds like a nice extension and a nice feature that people will fine entertaining to do, but you would need special locations preset up I think. Like different towns or places you can chose from to live in and then you can purchase them with in game currency.

Lol yeah. But I don't think that only one person would check all the ships, maybe a group of like a dozen builders will just get on and check real quick every once in a while. These ships will just give us something to be proud of. If you are active on the server and you know everyone, you might see someone's ship docked somewhere and be like, oh there's ToxicDRule over there with his epic ship or something.

Hmmm... I'm not too comfortable when you said housing, until I saw it meant building a ship - that's a pretty good idea, but I always had the idea in mind to just buy an already built ship. You won't actually fly in it, it'll take you to your destination in a flash A.K.A teleport - ships have always been cosmetic in Destiny. Either way, its a great way to show creativity in-game! :D

Okay, we're getting one thing straight here (@BriBoy sorry if this seems to come across as offensive) - There will be no separate houses you can live in. I've seen way too many new players on General Suggestions saying there needs to be a housing system. Just like what would happen in Wynn if it was ever added, GuardianCraft would experience massive lag - and that would require even more RAM, which something I won't allow. I hate lag.
The central hub ingame will be the Guardian's tower, like it is in Destiny. The only thing I'm changing to the server compared to the legit game is its content & interactivity - so that means there won't be as much 'Guardian, let me just scan this control panel & we can get this door open - look out, they've followed us! Defend me!' missions. Instead, you'll find the missions are a slightly bit easier in terms of Game difficulty, but harder in terms of gaining the mission objective.
TL;DR - no, there won't be housing systems, but there will be more content you can explore :D

Just a quick question,

Exactly how far are we on this? Because I really don´t know how far any of the other texturers have gone on the pack, or if any mob coding has begun...

 

3 of them are necessary as this is a school subject, I can't stop going unless I want to fail that class.

 

We're still laying out the format - I like to plan everything before rushing into it, head on.
