Grizzly - New Class Idea

    Grizzly - Population of feral humans.


    Lore:* Grizzly’s are humans that followed the path of nature, their feral nature to be precise. They follow their instincts but are also just as cunning as we, regular, humans are. They are fierce warriors that fight like actual Grizzly Bears (hence the name), having a fierce exterior and fighting style that uses claws on their hands allowing for swift but powerful attacks, it's also said they have their own type of magic called “Feral Magic”. Not much is known about them among the people of Fruma but the rumour has it that Fruma is as powerful as it is because of the war among them and the Grizzly’s. Since then they have been prisoners of Fruma and withheld from the general public. All that is known is that they are brute killers while in fact, they are some of the most peace-loving tribe there is.

    They are now being send out as well to aid in the battle against the corruption for 2 reasons:

    1: Fruma is running out of new recruits to send to Wynn,
    2: They can no longer control the Grizzly’s, offering them a choice: Die or Fight. This one works extraordinarily well finning out the enemy and adding more battle strength to their arsenal.
    *This may or may not interfere with the story


    Main Idea: There is currently no class that uses mobility in conjunction with their attacks. It's a swift attacker that rather plays with their prey before going in for the kill. Their specialty apart from the other classes is to use the slowest weapons as if they had normal attack speed becoming the most swift and efficient melee-range class, in a straight forward fight. Looking at you Assassin!


    Damage: ***** (5/5)
    Defense: ** (2/5)
    Range: *** (3/5)
    Spells: * (1/5)
    Note: I count Range as how accessible it is for the class to get in range. Since this class has "movement"-attacks, I count range higher, even if it is still a close-quarter brawler.


    Primary Weapon: Claws
    -A swift and deadly weapon that aims to strike for the opponents vital spots cuasing them to bleed out. You could say it's the thrill of the hunt!


    First ability (Right-click - Left-click - Right-click): Double Strike
    -Lounge forward with 2 big claws slashing infront of you!

    Cost: 4 mana.
    30% thunder damage
    Damage: x2 200%

    I: ^
    II: +Frenzy: Your next 5 melee attacks can be performed quicker! (+1 tier of attack)
    III: +Berserk: Your next 5 melee attacks deal 200% more damage.


    Second ability (Right-Right-right): Claw Grab
    -With use of strength and some rope they can use their claws for long distances! When it has hit a target, you pull yourself in to quickly close the distance. Can also be used on blocks for efficiënt travel time!

    Cost: 6 mana
    Bleeding = Water damage
    Damage: 110%

    I:
    II: +Bleeding: Dealing 10% of your damage automatically for a few seconds.
    III: +Falling back: After hauling yourself in, use shift to launch yourself back a bit.
    Note: Falling back doesn't fully launch yourself backwards. Only for a few blocks, it's ment to be some sort of quick-hit possibility creator or just handy if you are chewing on more than that you can handle!


    Third ability (Right-click - Left-click - Left-click): Regenerative Burst
    -Heal yourself for a vast amount over a small period of time.

    Cost: 10 mana.

    I:
    II: +Stamina: Gain +2 tier attack speed for 60sec.
    III: +Nature's Grace: Gain absorption hearts.
    Note: Both Stamina and Nature's grace will also apply to nearby players.


    Fourth ability (Right-click - Right-click - Left-click): Spirit of the Grizzly
    -Awaken the spirit grizzly from inside you, changing some of your attributes and abilities. While in this mode, you have an additional +30% fire damage bonus (and -30% water defense/offense).

    Cost: 2 mana but constantly chips away slowly.

    Double Strike -> Bite: Bite infront of you dealing 50% true damage.
    Thunder -> Earth damage.

    Regenerative Burst -> Feral Recovery: In the area you would heal others, it now deals 175% of your damage to all enemies.

    Note: Do you like this ability or would like something else? Let me know since I'm not a huge fan of it myself.

    This class really just looks like a warrior without a movement ability, and with some gimmicks from an assassin. It's just too much like the other classes IMO.

    movesets revolving around mobility are super fun in action games, although I don't think this class would implement that in to wynn too well. half of the class is just buff spells that don't really change how you play with the rest of the class, instead just making you stronger. for the offensive spells though, they don't really help that; how I imagine the class would play, you'd just be lunging towards enemies and dealing damage to them, not much variance in playstyle or the kind of combos you'd perform.

    other than that, this class has a few issues with class building in general. the +tiers on the abilities could allow people to tierstack with half as many +tiers that are usually needed, which could show to be very op. the fire/water damage bias on the fourth ability would also give the class a heavy bias to using fire weapons, which could make it a difficult class in making items for other elements.

    So it's like warrior and mage had a baby, a really fucked up baby btw, and then raised it under the guide of magehood but Uncle Assassian told it about the glories of murder, while Auntie Ranger just stared at it, knocked their arrow and debated murdering it cold blood on the spot for being a Sin against God and man at the same time... The Shaman mean while was just getting high and teaching it being a furry was cool and ok? are you proud of me dad?


    All the above is a meme ^ In many terms a j o k e. I'm not trying to flame, but this is the first thing that came to mind.

    The class has literally 1 play style.. R-R-R... R-R-L... R-L-R and if that doesn't work repeat. You have it where the class will benefit the most from a thunder/fire weapon throwing the other elements to the way side.

    You also contradict yourself: Does the heal ONLY affect the class or EVERYONE, seeing has how after your R-L-R or "Teddy Bear go Rawr" you said it would deal damage in a "heal area around it" That kinda confused me.

    While I actually have to give it to you for your detail, I believe it's misguided and not thought with balance in mind. With it is mainly PVE (Therefore meaning a lower level of balance could be possible and accepted) it also has a decently active PvP community (Meaning items and classes must have a decent win ratio/combat effectiveness ratio.) Example: Warrior has buff reduce damage/increase own damage. Mage has heal, assassian vanish... Ranger has arrow shield. Something that pulls that from each other. I don't want to sound rude but it's just a broken warrior/mage shoved together. It doesn't seem original except for the text around it.

    You could have made this a druid class that does summons around it. You're in the water? He summons sharks. Nature boy! You're on land? he summons horses. Nature boy! You're in the sky? He dies. Nature Boy! You're in the lava lakes? He becomes devil incarnate and starts summoning lava worms. (Of course this isn't wouldn't change by biome, but be an elemental pick for said class summons and I'm kinda just memeing about, but you get the idea). New classes would be kinda nice to see introduced, but I'd like to see more thought put into them and pulled away from the abilities we have. Hell make a guy who summons the sewer rats and we call him Peter the Pickle Blower or whatever. Just don't take things from other classes, buff them, and slap a new name on them :P

    But thank you for the idea, thank you for being willing to share with us, if you really believe this class can be something great. Plot it out, do some research, bug some of the content team and ask for their input, find someone who is their friend and they might be able to help you too. Look up guides, look up information on the Wynncraft lore and see if it fits anywhere. I'd really like to see a revised verison of this later! Good Luck! just, don't add this one.
