As for that other part, he said,"there are 3 primary provinces" (Wynn, Gavel, Dern). He then goes on to introduce another one. When he says "consider it a province", he means "screw the people in game who don't call it that and call it a province".

tl;dr: Villagers don't think it's a "true" province, but it still is.

Nothing is confirmed about Dern except that it's a Dark place, and you need to stop telling people otherwise.

 

You claim we misinterpreted what Grian said, and say you are correct. Who's to say you did not misinterpret what he said? It's hard to go off of due the fact that he was being cryptic on purpose.

So why don't you back up your claim? Show me in game evidence that you are right.

Let's pick this out. Grian literally says, "in the lore of the game, people". Which means all of the fictional characters with limited knowledge about the game. Villagers at the time were the only ones who were confirmed to know much about it as it says here:

"whispers of a third province named Dern was told from the villagers"

Well it says that they, the characters in the game with limited knowledge about Dern, consider Dern not a "true" province. But the fact that Grian says "consider it a province" can be interpreted in two ways, but the fact that he said in the lore that it was a province makes it less likely that he contradicts himself.

As for the other part, it wouldn't make sense for him to tell us there's 3 provinces, not including Dern, before we even knew about Fruma.

But as I said before, nothing's confirmed

why would dern be a realm if we know it stretches behind the almuj mountains to the abandoned mines? that means its really big which is weird for a realm.
also it would mean that people enter and leave a realm constantly, we don't see that in the other realms.

 

It makes a lot more sense than yours IMO. Occams Razor, whatever the simplest answer is, is probably right.

Point 2: Yes, we do. Realm of light every player travels through for a quest, and the Nether many players go to for pvp. So yeah, other realms have frequent activity. And before you said there is only one player and the realm of light thing is false, the nether example is still true.

Well, so far in the game the only place we have actually seen portals is to go to different realms.

You use a portal to go in and out of the fantastic voyage place.


You use portals to go to realms, you use portals to go to the dark place in FV, the place in FV is Dern. Therefor Dern is a Realm.

Occam's razor states that the simplest possibility is probably true. the fact it uses the word probably means it cant be wrong.
A=B and B=C but that doesn't always mean A=C. even more if A is B it doesn't mean B is A. an example for this would be squares and rectangles, a square is a rectangle (square=rectangle) but not every rectangle is a square (rectangle =/= square).

You are talking about the Symmetric Property which states if A=B then B=A. I am not talking about that. You are proving a different property false, not the one I am using...

So because it has a portal it's a realm? Dern, the place where Mages learned to teleport could easily have teleportation portals.

Well do we see any other place where portals are used other than realms?

And that lore class lore is really outdated. I think it's nice to look at, but holds no bearing.



And so yes, it has a portal and therefor it's a realm. I could probobly find more evidence if I had more time, but I feel like this should be enough.

If you can find any place where a portal is used not to go to a realm (not the coal block things) feel free to show me.
