Give Alkatraz Negative Raw Melee/spell

Since the point of the weapon is to lock you into earth damage only (hence why it's named after a prison and gives thematic negatives to all other elements), high negative raw melee and raw spell would fit with this theme.

Yeah it's an earth weapon, but it's also a melee weapon... Giving it negative raw melee would just cancel out the damage.

Think of it like this, a weapon has 100 earth damage, and then has -50 raw melee in the ID's. A mob hit by its melee takes 100 earth damage and -50 neutral. If negative damage works the way I think it does (in that it's giving the mob health instead of taking it), the mob would essentially only take 50 earth damage (not counting elemental defenses the mob may have).

 

it doesn't work that way
any negative damage displays as negative but just has no effect, positive or negative

 

In that case would the raw melee even do anything to affect the damage of the alkatraz (besides affecting other raw melee that would be added onto it)?

 

yeah aside from added raw melee it useless as anything but a thematic id

 

It can actual.
In rare forseen cases I've been healed from peoples attack because of nagtive damage.

I can't give an exact reason as to why it happens, but it can heal enemies.

 

This is assuming negative raw melee/spell would only cancel other items' positive raw melee/spell.
