I never object to any moderator promotion, but you might want to reconsider your phrasing there. Having less than a hundred Discord and forum messages doesn't really count as a "very active member of our community", even if the player has clocked thousands of hours ingame, doesn't it?

give me literally any good reason for participating in the hellhole of the wynn discord and yeah i might be inclined to agree but until then no this is just improper reasoning, in-game activity can also constitute as community activity, and more importantly activity in other subcommunities is just as important as activity might be in the main wynn server.

not everyone wants to be in the main wynn server, in fact the majority of the playerbase (by a huge margin) isn't, so judging a mod's activity solely off of that is quite frankly just ignoring the vast majority of the community you claim to know about and be a part of here

 

Wynncraft moderators are bestowed with the powers of forum and discord moderation in addition to their ingame role, and are expected to be knowledgeable in the areas of their duty. I'm not objecting to them being active in subcommunities, but having said powers conferred to moderators that don't show a regular presence in the places where they are supposed to initially moderate is, well, kind of contradictory to the code of conduct.

 

In fairness, this is true of most new mods (hence my earlier post).

And mods aren't obligated to moderate or actively participate in every single section of the game's community, despite the fact that that doesn't designate activity regardless. You can be a very active mod on the server and not the forums or discord, plus mods are literally given the choice on if they wish to actively moderate the forums or discord. There's a reason over half the entire mod team is inactive on the discord and around the same (a bit more) are inactive on forums; that just means that they're active and working in some other place in the game, be it in-game or within the dozens of subcommunities and unofficial discords Wynn plays host to.
