"Okay. What did you do?" (I need to know so I can [attempt to] learn it and use it on myself. ;p;)

"It's too complicated of a magic. You wouldn't understand."

Eradius looks a bit annyoed.

"Where or where you not ever in the Capital?"

 

I like tagging people who I need to wait for a response before responding. I'll stop though for you. ;p; Anyone else not want me to do this for them?

I spend a moment thinking and stare far into the distance. Subconsciously, I keep a hold on the cat while moving a hand onto my necklace.
Suddenly, my gaze snaps back and I lock eyes with you. I glare at you.
"No. You lied. You aren't the one. I have no need to answer someone like you." I spit out.
I turn around to leave. (If nothing happens, I'll walk away.)

 

Eradius stares blanly at Ling.
"Alright..."
"So... If we're done with this play, let me ask you this."
"What sort of unfinished buisness keeeps you on this plane?"

 

I stop in place.
"I-"
My grip on the necklace tightens. I turn back to face the man (Eradius).
"This princess sees no reason to answer you."
Then, ignoring you, I turn back and continue walking.

"No reason to answer me? And yet you just told me who you are."
"Are you trying to hide something? Becouse if so it isn't working for you."
Eradius chuckles and then walks at quick pace away.
I probably recast the spell of alter self becouse we've been talking for more then three minutes.

I scowl.
"Han, follow him. He had a magic aura around him. You'll give me a description of him when he stops casting. Make sure you are not seen."
I place Han on the ground.
"I'll be... here I suppose. Not like I know where I'm going. Now, off you go... but... come back safe... okay?"

After Han leaves. I move the necklace off my neck and take a long look at it. I hold up the pendant with one hand and bring it closer. It seemed... as if... there was a small drawing on it...
A memory comes back to me and I immediately act upon it.
I let go of the necklace (still holding onto the pendant). Slowly, I run my finger in the air and start chanting. Drawing a diagram and using modified words, the magic was quickly gathered to the center of the diagram. Despite myself, I grinned.
"It feels so nice to cast magic again."
The spell was almost complete.
"Optimized chanting. A perfect channel. This- This is true magic. Not those imitations that other people use!"
And so, when the magic was gathered, the spell was complete.
And all it took, was for me to touch the center to activate it.
And that was what I did.

A force blew me backwards (Spell fail cause I'm not alive) and the necklace dropped out of my hand. My mind went blank for a moment. After a few moments to recover, I retrieved the necklace and placed it around my neck. That was when I also realized that the cat that was always by my side was no longer here.
"Han?" I called out.
With no response, I called out to him once more.
I look to my left. Darkness. I look to my right. Darkness. I turned around in circles. I was alone. Alone in the dark. Alone once more. (No lights atm cause the spell fail kinda made a void for magic)
I went down to the ground. And there, hugging my knees, I cried.

OOC: Yes, this is pretty long. Yes, this is me inserting random details where it probably isn't needed. But I was struck with sudden inspiration and wanted to put out more aspects of my character. xD And thus, this became a thing. ;p (Btw, I'll sit there crying till someone calls out to me and I notice).

OOC: ... This is allowed right? .-. If not, I'll make a new response. xD

For once, nothing interrupts you. You can just sit back, read the book, and actually make your way through it.
OF course, something this good must eventually be screwed over, and you have the gnome guy from back in the wagons bursting in the door.
"The inn! Someone killed everyone in the inn!"

Unlike you, the cat isn't humanoid and doesn't really blend in to the crowd.

Medieval peasants: Is there anything they can't screw up?

The spell fails. You try to draw magic out via your tome, but nothing comes.

The light of a sun was just extinguished. Magic itself seems to have just... stopped existing in the area. Blindness was fine in a magic saturated world, but you have never had to deal with this.
The crowd doesn't notice you as you fall into despair, the strong soul that kept you here rapidly fading.

 

"So what? It's not like I cared for anyone there" I say while for the first time taking my eyes off of the book

 

Still my first day existing. I'll get used to it... Maybe.

Sit there, keep crying, etc.
If anyone wants to bother noticing, the amulet starts flickering between ten colors (pale, transparent) before moving down to five (Pink, Gray, Purple, Clear, Black). After flashing for a while (a long while), it moves down to just 3 (gray, clear, black). The speed of the colors is visibly slowing down, with more black starting to show than the rest. (TBH: You either have to pay a lot of attention or be really close to see it clearly).

Shut up, clear is a color. >:T

I try walking at quick pace the nearet alley where I try recasting the spell.

 

A little too sharp? What do you mean?

 

"It's my business where I want to go, and what to do with my lungs when I get there."

 

Too inteligent to be in the sitution like this perhaps?

 

Kae curses under her breath before tiredly yelling out of nowhere, "Stop pouring water onto an oil fire! It won't do shit!"

 

*Raises hand*
But water puts out fires. (Btw, have you ever seen a fire blanket burn? xD)

The gnome appears to not have heard you, and is talking to one of the two guys next to you, the one who had the map. The other one's talking about beer or something? Whatever.

Map Guy: "Who are these people?"
Maros: "I have no clue. People with a grudge, I would wager."
Map Guy: "Against who?"
Maros: "I don't know! More importantly, half a dozen people have gone missing in the last hour! It's not just the boss, we're all done for if we don't kill these guys. Seriously, Matt, most of our best people are out."
Map Guy (Matt): "Best people? How many are down?"
Maros: "The old boss is dead, Fayuma's close, Leren was by far the strongest and he's dead, Areln died back in Eood, and one of our tower wizards has been missing for hours. All we have left is one heavy warrior, the other wizard, and the guy next to you. You all caught up? This is why you don't hole up in a tavern for three hours. You miss stuff."
Matt: "Uuhh... Yeah. So what now?"
Maros: "We wait until I get the signal to regroup at the bloody goose. You guys are coming with me."


"Damn the gods, another sociopath?"
"Sir, here's the drink you ordered. Ultra-Light Dwarven brew, the heaviest thing we have. 50 gold."
"Good, set it down over there."

I read your sheet multiple times when you joined and am still confused. Yay, learning.

Nope. Still not working. Something's clearly off, and you still look like you in academy territory.

I was going to make a comment about how that's a bit rough coming out of a character your age but then I had Vietnam-style flashbacks to middle school so

The townspeople turn and look at you for a moment before one of them speaks up.
"But it's fire.. And we've got water.."

 

Dun worry, I haven't looked at it for a while and, looking back on it today, it's really confusing. >:T I rushed a few bits (like half of it) within a day sonce Magnificient joined, making it 5/6. I was scared someome would take the last spot before I did. xD
I think I'm going to reorganize it a bit after my finals. ;p;

Also, oxygen helps flames burn.
Hydrogen is explosive with fire.
So we toss them both on a flame to put it out. xD
