Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

I can't pay too much attention to what's going downstairs while fighting a cultist guy....

I throw my grappling hook at the lamp and attempt to use it to swing away from the bones. If I can, I also try to swing towards the cultist, jump off, and slash at him.

 

Lazarus: "Er... Seems safe, I guess..? Let's go."

I'll head toward the tower.

 

Priest: "Giant forest, north of 'ere. Really, why are ye askin?"

 

Cast charm and set sexy pose.

 

Leon: (sign language) "If there is good pay, I will eliminate these threats."

 

You manage the swing, jump off, and sever his arm.

Cultist: "AAAARRGHHAAAA"

Vesuia: "Well then."
She's visibly preparing herself for a fight.

*Swirly eyes active*
Whitejacket Guy: "Oh, yes. All my pleasu-" *snap*
[Charm Person] Has failed!
The guy rates a -1 on the Kinsey Scale!

Priest: You wanna go kill yourself? Eh, more pay when we heal you from the brink o' death. Then again, if you succeed, they'll probably make you Lord around here. That's how bad the problem is. Have fun.

 

"I warned you..."
I stab him in the head.

 

Run out the door. Push burning bookshelf behind me.

 

Leon: (sign language) "Thank you sirs, this is well-received information."
*I turn away and walk to the bartender, ducking as to not bump my helmet on the ceiling again.*
I signal an "x" over where my mouth would be.

The hallway outside is empty. You feel rther accomplished for defeating him.
The door behind you explodes, throwing you onto the other side wall. It's the guy. he's not dead. The room behind him has been cleared of flames, but still looks heavily damaged. The man raises his blade of air, about to drop it and stab you.

Male Bartender: "Hm?"

 

I make signs that look like pen and paper.

 

"..."
I examine his corpse.

 

Open wallet and capture his weapon inside.

 

Male Bartender: "Need something to write with? I have some stuff in the back."
About a minute later, he reappears with some paper and a pen.

Ritual Dagger [Spellcasting Focus]

His sword doesn't actually physically exist as a blade. It's a bunch of air currents forming a cutting edge.

 

I take the Gold Coins, retrieve my grappling hook, clean the blood off my sword, and throw my grappling hook at the hatch from earlier.

 

On the paper I write in very neat, almost royal, handwriting.

"I am a foreigner, do you happen to know of any points of interest in this town? Why are those men injured?"

 

I cast Sleep on his hand and kick him in the groin.

You enter the crate room and swing up to the hatch. You are now back on the roof.

Male Bartender: Points of interest? There's the docks, these places, the manor, not really much. The Riverthrone is not a very noteworthy place. The two guys probably came through the forest. The priests are basically permanently here people are always using my tavern as a clinic. Kinda hate that they shut down the place up north.

Against all odds, you hit with both attacks. The man falters, extremely drowsy and it pain.
Whitejacket man: "I'll... kill you.."

He is asleep.

 

Well, I forgot that...

I take back and stow my grappling hook and go to the ladder down to the ground.

 

I begin writing again.

"Thank you, may I keep these papers? I must utilize them to communicate. I would appreciate it greatly."
