Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

Cast Charge to attack Bandit 1 and if it can hit Bandit 2, them too.

 

I go to the cart and start reading the spellbook of invisibility mainly ignoring everyone else

 

I go back to the alley where I was hiding.

 

Seeing how strong my opponents are, I hide behind one of the pieces of rubble and watch the battle play out

 

Eradius: "... Eradius."

 

The first bandit uses a basic attack for 3 damage.
The second bandit uses a ranged basic attack for another 3 damage.
Neither attack makes it through your admittedly op armor.

You charge straight through the first bandit, but the second one is too far away to hit. The first bandit is slain.

You go down the stairs and exit the tower, breathing in fresh air for the first time in 5 whole minutes.
Other people pile into different carts, although some never entered the tower and have been here the whole time. You rummage for the invisibility spell book, and begin reading. It's odd just how quiet everything is. All the other people are either reading or quietly preparing to leave, and the only thing you can hear in the entire valley is the wind. Oh and some vague ominous growling along with thematically tense music emanating from the woods a few hundred feet to the north. That might be a problem.

The soldiers quickly run past the alley, clearing up the streets once more. The general strategy seems to be "keep throwing future corpses at the lightning wizard until it stops moving."
Sadly, the plan seems to be working.

It appears to be a last-ditch battle between 6 people. 3 of them have identical outfits and fight while bombastically laughing every so often, while the other 3 are constantly making battle quips and have that 'random bunch of misfits' feel to them.

After a sequence in which the second group is nearly defeated, one of them makes a rousing speech and propels them and their allies to victory. They pose while the defeated first group explodes behind them for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

She visibly tenses up for a few seconds, before concluding that her continued survival means that you probably have no connection whatsoever to any figures she, as a person who works in a group based in the imperial capital, may have heard of.

 

I get my violin ready and wait to see what happens

 

I just continue to watch.

Well anyway, I guess I go with them to assassinate some people.

 

Cast charge against Bandit 2.

 

A region south of The Wall. The academy of the arcane apparently has a lot of power here, despite it being located in the capital. The people generally make damn good beer. Presumably a coastal region, also presumably foggy.
Fix this shit Nibba.

 

A few tense seconds later, a literal explosion of blood blasts its way out of the forest. A massive, mutilated bear-like beast stands at the edge of the forest. Calling it a bear's actually kind of underestimating it, as it's almost 20 feet from end-to end. It lets out a savage roar, and starts moving towards the carts at a slow, lumbering pace, spewing blood the whole way.

The guy's nearly dead when he lets out some massive final attack, decimating the street around it.

Those generalized words fail due to the fact that there are multiple things extremely wrong with that description. Please elaborate on what exactly is upsetting you about these few sentences.

You, the ice mage, and the bandanna lady exit the tower in the most badass way you can possibly manage. Sadly, there were no explosives rigged in the tower.
The moment is ruined, however, with the roar of a massive bloody beast emerging from the forest. It begins towards you at a slow, lumbering pace.

The bandit shoots in vain, but your armor neutralizes it and you charge straight through him.

After your hit, the bandit moves as far as he can, just out of reach of your charge.

I try to freeze it and if it works I say
Dez:"Get it while its held in place"

 

Eradius: "Goddammit."
I finally use my experimental focus and cast lightning at the bear-thing.

 

I slowly approach the other group that one, showing that I don't mean to fight.

"Excuse me, could you please tell me where exactly I am?"

 

Cast uppercut against the bandit

 

The creature freezes in its tracks. Ranged attacks galore fire out from all around you.

The lizardguy freezes the monster in place, giving you an easy target to cast the lightning bolt on.
It comes out slightly weaker than normal, dealing moderate damage.
Everyone else starts piling damage on the monster, and it takes heavy wounds, spilling out torrents of blood. It's still alive, however.

It's a shame that they managed to destroy a town on short notice, real shame. If you want to know where we are, this here place is the Riverthrone! There's a river down there and a throne up where that big manor used to be. Quite brilliant a name if I'd say so myself.""

The bandit keeps on running, running as far and as fast as he can. The uppercut does not hit, mainly due to the fact that he's 30 feet away from you and still running.
