I turn to the ice mage
Dez:"Sorry about that though you were an enemy"

 

Ah. If you need to, you can drop Thorston's storyline for a bit and wait for everyone else to catch up time-wise.

So, are we at the city yet?

 

I stand. "I have nothing more to say, nor do you I imagine." I cast War Scream towards his position, applying its buffs to myself.

 

I go upstairs.

 

Ice Mage: "That doesn't change the fact that you fucking shot me... who the hell are you, anyway? Don't recognize you from the lineup."

Seeing as you're pretty geographically removed from them, it should be fine.

The line through to the gates has been slowly getting shorter by the minute, and it's not long before you reach the front. A man with a very large notepad and even larger glasses looks down at you.

Bookkeeper: "Alright.. Mousefolk.. and your name?"

The man is caught in the massive knockback, falling into the grass and being dealt 3 damage. He gets up and dusts himself off, however. The resistance gives you a -1 to all damage dealt to you, on top of your armor.

He uses the ability Unfair Strikes with Basic Attack, dealing 21 damage. However, your damage reduction applies to every individual hit, meaning you "only" take 6 damage.

There's a lizardman talking to an injured guy who looks like another one of those elemental mages, along with a muscleguy, a hobbit, and 5 generic mooks.

 

Dez:"I was recruited about 10 minutes ago because of my skill"

 

Thorston: "The name's Elwood... Thorston Elwood."

 

Eradius: "That's no excuse."

 

Dez:"Well he's alive so all's good"

 

I attack with Bash to deal massive dmg and slow him down. Also isn't my air spear +2?

I try to avoid the next attack, as I'm now faster than him (I think).

 

I cover my eyes and nose with my hand.
Eradius: "Fucking hell..."

 

Forgive me. I wrote that at like 1 A.M
If we factor that in..... re-do the math with a +2...

Bookkeeper: "Elwood Thorston Elwood... Ok, your name's down. Welcome to Kyuuvar."
You're ushered into the gates. On the inside of the wall, the city's built almost exactly like the Riverthrone was, with 2 exceptions. The first is obviously the size, and the second is that the entire city is built on what looks like a hill, slowly going upwards towards the center. On closer inspection, however, that's no hill. It's previous buildings, crushed and built on top of.

 

Thorston: "Good enough."
I look for somewhere where I can buy some healing potions.

 

Dez:"So I guess the real killer is dead what now?"

 

What time is it for me? And at what time did the vigil begin?

 

It's pretty easy to find it, as all the adventurer friendly shops are up front. Wonder why.

You enter an apothecary, the stench of herb and magic clearly identifiable. Strange, exotic plants are growing all over the place, some with alien looking flowers and vines. Potions, liquids swirling with who knows what effects line counter after counter. An old man is on a footstool by one of the shelves, and greets you as you enter.

Herbalist: "Ah, an adventurer... what potions do you seek?"

Maybe around 4-ish? It's been 10-15 minutes, at most.

Fayuma: "... Well, our group's boss left the mortal coil at some point recently by who knows what, aaand there's the problem tha' he had the sending password. For the newcomer and the wizards, we'd normally be able to use that thing to contact headquarters an' get new orders, but the password's gone with whoever killed 'im. Pray that they don't know what it does an' how to use it. Only other options are meetin' another group with the password or goin' on foot. Trust me, we don't wanna to go on foot."

 

Dez:"I have no idea what a sending password even is, how would something like that even work?"

 

Thorston: "Do you have some healing potions?"

 

I drink some elven made vodka.

 

Ahhh forget it, lemme just begin the voyage to Kyuuvar.

I should probably loot the assassin's corpse too, so I will.
