Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

I begin writing on paper:

"Should I go first? Trap or not, that's a chest worthy of my curiosity. That axe looks interesting as well."

 

"I am Seriela, Mage of Water. Five have been left here to guard the gates while the key is retrieved and assembly is completed. You threaten our goals."

"You shall die."​

 

I enter the room, grab the axe, and inspect it.

 

Dez:"no i don't think so, when i tried escaping I had only one way of getting out and that was by using my firebolts. Anyways I'm new in town so I didn't know where to report this information and you looked like the people who would know stuff like this and where to report this"

 

I hide in the shadows.

 

lol. no. I put on the crown and attamp to smash the mirror.

 

Lazarus: "Are you okay? I think we'd better hurry."

 

Leon picks up the axe. It, and him, both glow red for a moment. After that moment, however, nothing happens.
Looking close at the axe shows it to be a sturdy weapon, but nothing special. That red glow was the most interesting thing to happen.

After putting on the crown, you swing around and smash your fist into the mirror as hard as you can. It splinters into hundreds of pieces, leaving bad gashes on your arm. The keyhole, however, remains intact. You can now see a large mechanism with lots and lots of gears behind the remains of the mirror.

Vesuia: M..y.... H...e-"
You didn't see it before, but blood is starting to pool on her robe.

 

I cast lightining at the mechanism.

 

"Leon? You okay, there?"

 

Seeing as your dominant arm hurts, you use your offhand to cast the spell, so it's not as precise as normal. Oddly, though the bolt coming out is just as potent as before. Maybe your various rings are only now taking effect. After 5 seconds of electricity hitting the mechanism, however, niting has changed. It's at this moment that something feels off, and then searing pain goes through your gut. You look down and see a sword of ice skewering you.

 

Water conducts electricity.
I zap the bitch.

 

Another lightning bolt, aimed at her. It hits her arm as her arm... falls off?
It fall to the ground, making a splash. You can see the excess electricity from your lightning bolt go down with it. There's a stump where her arm - the water making up her arm was.
Seriela: "Condensation."
Water vapor from the air gets colder, turning into normal water and reforming an arm.

 

I slowly come back and begin writing:
"It simply glowed red, I don't see anything special about it besides being an extra weapon. I will keep it in-case. As for the flame and the chest, I will get those as well."

I go to the chest and open it.

 

"Always good to be prepared."

 

I thow rest of alcohol near her and set it on fire.
Also the Mage I killed was of Air I assume. Therfore I try using wind to make flames bigger.

 

Plot-Convenient Spell Time!

I'll cast my spell, which is, conveniently, a healing spell, on Vesuia.

The burning alcohol lasts about 3 seconds before it's extinguished by covering it with water to choke the fire, denying it oxygen.

"Heal"
Your convienient heal manages to stabilize her for the time being.

Vesuia: "Healing...? I...Isn't that impos...ible? *Cough*"

There's blood in the cough - she's still injured heavily, but she isn't dying. You, on the other hand, feel incredibly weak. Magic isn't supposed to drain you this much, isn't it?

 

Lazarus: "Found this spell... Er... Somewhere. Can you walk? What was that magic?"

 

Slowly but surely, she stands up.
Vesuia: "Your magic? or his? Flashstep... His bolt went straight through me... He shocked my heart. However, as of you.. well.. breaking the rules I have had drilled into me from my first day as a student.. I never knew that's how far divine magic extended. I'm going to have to stick by you a little while, angel. Either way, that teleport is short range. He's still somewhere in this tower.
Shall we go up?"
