Dez:"Okay let's just go to that thing" I just continue walking

 

"fucking hell"
"Okay, it was nice talking to ya, but I gotta wake up."
I lightly cast lightning on myself to wake me up.

 

Thorston draws his new knife and turns to face the voice.
Thorston: "And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for these meddling gang members..."

 

I just pet him again.
"No worries."

I follow.

 

I try to pry open a window silently

The core(?) of the elemental drops like a ball on new year's, going from 40 feet up to maybe only 10. That's about the only movement you're getting other than the green tendrils, which are going further and further out.

You set off towards the still silent beast, reaching the square within minutes.
Here, you find a few guards futility poking at the bottom of it, and the sight-endowed members of the group see a broken bridge leading into the ruins of the castle, clearly the origin point of the monster by way of the half that's now its base.

You wake up in the ruins of what apparently used to be a tavern, slumped in with a bunch of corpses.
Haven't started decomposing yet, so you can't have been here very long.

It's some kind of bard or jester, with some sort of odd club in his hand.
"Oh. Those people. Never really liked them... Either way, hand over the stuff. Wanna to keep the blood off them, cause things are about to get a little messy."

You are a frost giant, and the process goes... a but less than smoothly. Still the window bucjles and breaks out of its frame, and you have yourself a way in that you can't fit through, because again, frost giant.
Probably not d&d 20 feet tall through. Maybe half that.

 

"Not, again."
I walk out of the tavern.

 

Two questions:

1. Am I at full Vitality? If not, I drink a healing potion.
2. Can I see how much Vitality he has outside of battle?

Thorston: "I don't kill people who don't attack me first."
Thorston: "Here's your last chance to stay alive. You going to take it?"

 

I go try to find a way to get to the ruins

 

"Hey."
I pull at Ghostie's clothes.
"What happens if the core light shiny thingy drop?"

I follow.

realizing the windows arent big enough, I walk back to the front and enter

 

You open the door into the cooler night air, finding a strangely quiet town. Sure, a few things are disturbed or ruffled up, but it seems quiet and serene.
The tavern opens close to what looks like the main intersection of this small town, where you see a silhouette of some large blob, but it's too dark to say exactly what it is.
It's quiet.
Too quiet.

*gulp*
aand regeneration. Might be abut hungry after this.

Jester: "Really, I can ask you the same thing."
He brings out a lute and starts strumming it, playing a depressingly sober tune. Seems to be focusing on it quite a bi-
He's preparing a skill, isn't he.

"Say... do you want to know something?"

The now-wrecked bridge spanned a large ditch that isn't too hard to go down and up. Bit of climbing/floating, but you are standing at what certainly used to be gates.

The door's locked, but a quick bashing and you're in. You have a long hallway in front of you, with 2 doors on each side. At the end of the hall lies stairs.

 

Description of magical traces?
"Umm.... what happened here?"

 

Dez:"Probably that thing" I point to the earth elemental and then say "Now can anyone locate objects?"

 

I throw my grappling hook at him.
Thorston: "Let's see."

 

"What kinds?"

 

Dez:"A wand with a power of a miniature sun and a pendant that's magical and not magical at the the same time"

 

I look around before turning back.
"How will I know if I found it?"

 

Dez:"Both are with a guy named Rykos"

 

Look around again.
"How will I know if I found him?"
