?

Should gavel be bigger and more complete?

  1. No, it's fine as it is.

  2. Maybe later when and if* they finish all the provinces.

  3. Yes. I share the same opinion.

When I first joined wynncraft, I got pretty addicted to the server. Not so much because of the gear, money or other gameplay features, but because of the terrain and storylines. And yes I know, wynncraft got some major terrain updates since then, but I get the feeling wynncraft is so tightly packed and small, which is because of the limited resources/builders and time this server has.
When gavel got released, a whole new sets of story lines and races were introduced. And while walking now and then through the gavel province I got the feeling that something is missing..that Gavel is incomplete and tightened up and that there is so much more that should be added to the province before making dern and fruma.

For example: Where did the dwarves, villagers, orcs and elves all come from when once the current gavel was all but forests and mountains. I think that more should be added Gavel in terms of storylines and land mass since the developer team implemented so many things and tried to pack it all up on a single province.
Ofcourse, I am not complaining. I love the new Gavel province, but unlike wynn I think it should be bigger and more complete and should tell stories of all the races.

    Anyone have a similar opinion?

In the future, there is going to be an update that will add new content to the Molten Heights region (Level 90+ recommended)

You don't need a backstory on every single tree branch.

Point is that there's no point to doing this. Sure, some history for the inhabitants would be nice, but we don't really need more origin story than "animals affected by the decay," "beings of light," and such. Doing so would have the opposite effect of what you want; instead of feeling simply complete, the province would feel over saturated.

An overflow of information, backstory, and the like just isn't really fun, especially when actually playing the game. However, as I said, some more history of the people could be interesting: information that you can discover by visiting their towns, talking to random NPCs, and reading books in Libraries. Not things that you learn just by going through the game.

Basically, a backstory for the land as a whole is much more interesting and important to story lines than backstories for every single species there.

Gavel has been ignored for about a year now, and it still seems that they aren't going to finish it up. I wouldn't hold your breath.

They are adding a mini storyline for molten heights

I think it was 5 planned quests?

    They are probably native

Since Gavel is the Villigars homeland,

    False.
I want this crap to be at least as detailed as the Elder Scrolls lore.

Well... Here's the thing. Even if the devs wanted this, writing deep lore for several races with such a small team, all while making it interesting and continuous without any errors is not an easy task. As of right now, working on a storyline for the gameplay is more important than storylines for the races you'll encounter only a few times during the game. Even if the storyline isn't what's being worked on, getting to that point is also more important.

We don't have to have deep lore for every races, what I meant that some regions could use an expansion.
My general idea was for wynncraft to have regions that that are mainly wild and for exploration, so that the places we lvl up don't get abandoned after we finish the quests. Something like world of warcraft's Un'Goro crater or Aszuna, but that's just an idea.

True, though there still aren't any dungeons and there are some missing quests. Some quests could definitely use a revamp too *cough* Eye of the Storm *cough* Also some quests had a lot of potential to be expanded on (lore-wise) like the one with the Caritat mansion but we got quests like Eye of the Storm instead...

Maybe they will add some major community quests involving gavel to the game, similar to ??? but hopefully not as annoying. For example, they could add a class of quest in the category of "Very hard" and make it span across gavel. I have yet to see a quest involving Gavel's hero, I forget his name.

Such places already exist, though perhaps more often in Wynn than Gavel. A problem for Wynn in specific is that the playerbase is clueless and whenever anything of any kind that's not basic scenery exists they assume it has some higher meaning rather than just existing for immersion. So... Really, this kind of thing is already around, most people just don't see it that way.
