A player using Elytra to glide towards a forested area. (by @01100110111 ) The much anticipated Minecraft 1.9 update came out on the 29th of February, and the many new features could revolutionize Wynncraft. Dual wielding, Elytra, lingering potion and several other new features that come with the 1.9 update have caught the attention of many in the Minecraft community. The drastic changes in the combat system allows for interesting PvP. Elytra will definitely make adventuring through the vast world of Minecraft easier. But how can Wynncraft utilize these new features? We asked one of Wynn’s best GMs, @Acer about what he thinks could be the possibilities and here’s what he thought: "Dual wielding could allow the possibility of players utilizing two weapons, but not all weapons. An example to this could be dual-wielding daggers, like in Skyrim. The lingering potion could become a spell effect that marks a player’s location for a period of time. A good counter to an assassin’s vanish. And finally, Elytra’s glide feature could be used for puzzles or quests." These are just some of the possibilities. If you have ideas, feel free to talk about it in the comments section! Article by @01100110111 ━━━ Guild News ━━━ Kingdom of Foxes Hosts Its Spring Ceremony! Knighting of two KoF members at the Gardens of Cinfras. (by @Emily7974 ) On the 5th of March, over a dozen players stepped away from their activities when HM Queen Regnant LoveLusting held the long-awaited Spring Ceremony and royal coronation of HM Queen Consort Snowing. At 8 p.m. GMT, guests and the many members of the Valkyrie Alliance gathered at the Gardens of Cinfras in anticipation for the K of F Spring Ceremony. The gardens offered great ambiance and atmosphere as the ceremony began. Under constant applause and acclaim, the regnant, accompanied by the Foxen Royal Family and the Imperial Family, awarded the most loyal and active members of the guild with unique medals for their deeds. (For a list of the awardees, check the official event recap by LoveLusting ) After the award ceremony ended in cheer, the festivity reached its peak when Snowing stepped forward as she was to be appointed as Queen Consort. The guests immediately gave a thunderous applause and celebrated the event even after the royal coronation. Article by @Ascended Kitten TnP and HHU Have Left Ordo Malleus! Recently, guilds such as TnP and HHU have revoked their allegiance with Ordo Malleus. The Toasted Pandas (TnP) and HaHaUnited (HHU) have recently separated themselves from one of Wynn’s alliances, Ordo Malleus. Quite a curious matter as the Ordo claims to be a “dynamic alliance [who] supports each other and be the best". Attempting to get more information regarding the matter, we interviewed the owners of TnP and HHU. TnP owner @Yamipanda refused to speak about the reason why they left the alliance because of its personal nature but she does have plans. “No large goals or anything. Just building up on what we already have-- friendships and stuff. Maybe join an alliance with similar interests but that’s not for now. Guild interests comes first.” says Yami. @Eh Red from HHU on the other hand was more open of the reasons why he decided to abandon Ordo. “The reason we left was because TnP, my favourite Ordo guild, left. [Higher ups were] always bossing me around with what I can and cannot do.” Red also mentioned how many in Ordo bad-mouth about Valkyrie, and Red himself did not want to be a part of it any more. Article by @Kvmilla ━━━ Miscellaneous News ━━━ The Scary Science Behind The Meteor Spell! Meteor being casted by a mage. (by @Staraptia ) On February 27, Net_Twerk published a post concerning the science of the Mage’s spell Meteor which concludes in a few astonishing facts. The details are in Net_Twerk’s original post, which can be found linked above. A quick summary is that Meteor is summoned via the amplification of gravity on a certain body in space, which enables the mass to travel at 12,397 times the speed of sound, or about 1.4% of the speed of light. A Meteor travelling this quickly would cause a sonic boom in less than two ten-thousandths of a second, and the landing of one the size of a basketball could be compared to the dropping of an atomic bomb. So next time, maybe think twice about provoking a Mage, eh? Article by @01100110111 ━━━ Advertisements ━━━ Want to put an ad here for your shop or guild?
