    Intro:
I've been experimenting with the precise gather speed values needed to reduce the tick requirement for various gathering nodes. On the Prof. Tryhard discord I saw accurate thresholds for level 115 materials, but I have not found thresholds for other material types anywhere.

    Requirements:
This guide is intended for proffers who have reached the maximum practical level for a gathering profession. The thresholds listed here are for a player using a Tier 13 gathering tool, with a gathering level of 125 or higher, although for the majority of nodes, I believe you only need to be 10 gathering levels higher than the minimum requirement to get the maximum base gather speed bonus, so for lower level gathering nodes you would only need to reach level 115 to use the Tier 13 tool.

    Testing Method:
A set of 4% gather speed accessories was used as a baseline to get up to 16% gather speed. Rings with 1%, 2%, and 3% gather speed were swapped in as needed to change the gather speed bonus one percent at a time and document the exact percentage point where a tick reduction occurs. For higher gather speed percentages, the accessories were supplemented with gather speed consumables and trinkets as needed. Gather speeds of up to 150% were tested. For the majority of cases, crops were used as the test node, though the thresholds should be the same for all four standard nodes of a given gathering level requirement.

    Thresholds:

    Level 115 Materials:
    Base: 4 ticks
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 32%
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 98%

    Level 110 Materials:
    Base: 4 ticks
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 32%
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 98%

    Larbonic Geode (Mining Lvl. 110):
    Base: 7 ticks
    Gspeed to 6-tick: 8%
    Gspeed to 5-tick: 30%
    Gspeed to 4-tick: 62%
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 116%

    Larbonic Geode (Mining Lvl. 105):
    Base: 6 ticks
    Gspeed to 5-tick: 7%
    Gspeed to 4-tick: 34%
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 78%

    Voidgloom (Farming Lvl. 105):
    Base: 4 ticks
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 8%
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 62%

    Level 105 Materials:
    Base: 4 ticks
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 8%
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 62%

    Level 100 Materials:
    Base: 3 ticks
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 36%

    Abyssal Matter (Fishing Lvl. 90):
    Base: 4 ticks
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 19%
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 78%

    Level 90 Materials:
    Base: 3 ticks
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 13%
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 126%

    Flerisi Trunk (Woodcutting Lvl. 85):
    Base: 6 ticks
    Gspeed to 5-tick: 13%
    Gspeed to 4-tick: 42%
    Gspeed to 3-tick: 89%

    Flerisi Tree (Woodcutting Lvl. 85):
    Base: 3 ticks
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 13%
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 126%

    Bamboo (Woodcutting Lvl. 80):
    Base: 3 ticks
    Gspeed to 2-tick: 5%
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 110%

    Level 80 Materials:
    Base: 2 ticks
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 86%

    Level 70 Materials:
    Base: 2 ticks
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 50%

    Level 60 Materials:
    Base: 2 ticks
    Gspeed to 1-tick: 17%

    Level 50 Materials and Lower:
    Base: 1 tick
    No gspeed needed.

Hopefully these thresholds can help people more easily select consumables and accessories with the amount of gather speed needed for their purposes.
