    Disclaimer: A part of why I am making this thread is cause of my recent and growing love for rougelites, so I’m sorry if this is a bit inspired, additionally, some of the Gambits ideas are just personal ideas for this concept, I would much rather the idea get implemented and none of my suggestions for gambits to get in. With that in mind, please look at the concept of gambits in Lootrunning and keep the specific gambit suggestions separately

    Gambits! A really good concept for raids, allowing you to make the raids a lot more difficult, in exchange for higher rewards, a big risk, but with the right skill, can pay off immensely. Since the Silverbull corporation has vastly improved raids like this, I was thinking they could add something like this to Lootruns!

    Lootrunning Gambits


    How do they work?:
    Before you start the raid, a similar 4 nodes will appear where you can select your Gambits, you do this at the start of the loot run. Unlike Raid Gambits, Lootrun gambits would not be instant rewards, and instead would be rewards that scale the further you go into your lootrun. This is to prevent just doing a 12 run lootrun and reaping massive rewards instantly.

    what would the rewards be?:
    Well for every 10 challenges, you would get a reward from your gambits, depending on how many you have.

    1 Gambit
    10-50: 2 extra pulls (total 10)
    60-100: 3 extra pulls (total 15)
    total extra pulls 25

    2 Gambits
    10-40, 60-100: 3 extra pulls (total 27)
    50: 8 extra pulls

    total extra pulls: 35

    3 Gambits
    10-40, 60-90: 3 extra pulls (total 24)
    50: 8 extra pulls
    100: 8 extra pulls + 1 chest reroll
    Total extra pulls: 40 + 1 chest reroll

    what would the gambits be (read disclaimer):
    The Gambits would be some what mega curses, they would need to be difficult and effect the run as a whole, I have some ideas for what a Lootrun Gambit would look like

    Old school: Your spells cap at 11 spell cost but max mana is capped at 20, and mana regen is capped at 10 mana a second

    Heavy Hands:
    Casting a spell reduces your damage by 30% (multiplicative) for 0.5 seconds

    Exhaustion:
    You don’t gain Mana or Health in-between challenges

    Extreme Adventurer:
    Dying under any circumstance immediately ends the lootrun (you still get rewards)

    Slipsand:
    Time is Capped at 6 minutes and cannot be increased further

    Colorblind: Aqua Beacons and Rainbow beacons no longer appear

    Unmotivated:
    Missions take significantly longer to complete (triple requirements), While you have an active mission suffer a 20% Damage penalty (multiplicative)

    Split:
    Challenge selection is capped at 2

    Mountain climber:
    Mobs scale slightly higher
