The mercenary is were you assassinate Ba'al for amerigo and the almuj army, I don't think it has anything to do with ragni or being recruited as a soldiar.

Well, it isn't comfirmed, but it seems very likely that that's what the gate is, after all, you don't even start in the Wynn province.

 

They all have something terrible: Wynn: corruption Gavel: decay Fruma: all of the players have left Dern: it is dark and dangerous? it is just a theory<---

 

What I believe is that since Wynn was in a war(with corruption) and Fruma was giving them soldiers, hence why we were recruited. We could have been drafted into the war, which shows why we are such a low level and start with crappy gear and weapon.
