In fruma Magic is only limited to the monarchy so it makes them seem more powerful, technology is allowed but the seperatists from fruma decided to live in corkus and use both magic and technology and not be controlled by the monarchy

 

but technology in this game is either magical or doesn't have a clear power source, aka it's probably magic.

Apart from that, technology simply isn't magic; it's one or the other. A machine could be powered by magic, maybe, but it's function isn't magical. Otherwise you'd just use magic to do it.

Electromagic is literally just magic based on electricity, nothing special there.

As for no evidence of machines; maybe it's because the two places that supposedly have machines are currently unavailable, eh?

 

all of the modernish technology is explained in lore by machine magic im pretty sure, or a variation such as electomagic

I wasn't really thinking of boats as machines, although they kind of are.
Also, a machine could be used to do magical things with far more precision than a human mind allows, so you would not just do it yourself.

Gavel has machines. Heart of Llevigar is obviously a machine. There's no proof Fruma/Corkus's stuff is any different.

 

The heart of llevigar is powered by coal and wood for all I know (you can see conveyors in the quest) the only other technological places I can think of is the place for rise of the quartron and the laboratorys for ???

 

A machine can also not use magic. It doesn't have mana; it's not alive.

Point was that electromagic has nothing to do with technology; it's just magic.

Gavel has a couple crude machines; Fruma and Corkus are supposed to be advanced in tech.

that covers the monarchy, they do have magic but the monarchy keep knowledge of it to themselves.
it doesn't mention they oppress their citizens or a civil war.

 

It was inferred from the fact that people are rapidly leaving their country for Wynn, and that some people seperated from it and made Corkus.
