Hello, it is hard not to notice that as the game has developed, dungeons which were once an important part of the game have now become almost completely forgotten by players who have already reache the endgame stage. This applies especially to The Forgery, which used to be a relevant piece of endagem content that offered a Chance to obtain mythical items. Today however, after the introduction of lootruns and raids, this mechanic has become unattractive due to estremely low Chance of obatining valuable rewards.

Since players can start lootrun and raids at a similar progression stage to when the Forgery becomes potentially appealing, dungeons are simply no longer cost-effective. Raids and lootruns are far more rewarding. This is not only about competing for mythical items when choosing between lootruns and The Forge, but also about acquiring regular gear pieces. The rewards obtainable are generally much more attractive than most items available through dungeons. It seems that Corrupted Dungeons, Fallen Factory and Eldritch Outlook suffer fro this issue the most. Dungeon intended for lower-level players are still worthwhile, but the more difficult ones designed for advance players have become effectively unprofitable. For example at present a player needs to complete Eldritch Outlook jus tonce in order to unlock further content. And that's all, as most players will get better gear from lootruns or raids. Corrupted dungeons are no longer required at all and are not a necessary part of progression anymore. However dungeons were clearly designed to be repeatable content, as evidenced by the fact that dungeon rewards require multiple completions to purchase. Unfortunately for the harder dungeons this design goal is no longer fulfilled in practice.

I do not want to suggest rebalancing dungeon rewards, as that would not make sens. Instead I would like to propose additional rewards for these dungeons, which in my opinion could be appealing to veteran players, even if only temporarily.

    My proposal is as follows:

Each Corrupted dungeon, as well as Fallen Factory and Eldricth Outlook, would grant acces to a unique cosmetic skin that is already obtainable from craftes. Each dunegon would have one cosmetic item associated with it. While cosmetics are primarily intented to be purchase to suport the server, adding a single cosmetic reward per dungeon should not impact server revenue, while at the same time restoring at least temporary replayability to these dungeons. In my opinion each dungeon can easily be assigne one skin that is thematically connected to it makin the choice non-arbritraty and staisfaying for players. I also believe that obstaining such a skin should require multiple completion of the dungeon – for example 15 runs – in order to earn it. I do not think this would negatively affect players who previously obstained these cosmetics through purchases, as the numer of available items would be limited ad focused specifically on dungeon replayability. Additionally f2p players already receive free crates, allowing them to obtain cosmetics without spending money.

Below I present the specific cosmetic items that could be added to the dungeon mecrahnt. Some chocies may seem obvious, while others include a brief justification:

    1. Corrupted Decrepit Sewers

For 15 Corrupted Witherhead’s Rib players can purchase Fossil Bow, since the boss of this dungeon currently uses a bow and even if (as will likely happen) it stops doing so in the future, it would remain as a small easter egg.

    2. Corrupted Infested Pit

For 15 Arcadicus Eye players can purchase Gothic Relic, as it fits dungeon’s atmosphere well.

    3. Corrupted Lost Sanctuary

For 15 Corrupted Garoth’s Breath players can purchase Cosmic Wand, since the new Garoth is associated with time/space magic, which strongly matches this theme.

    4. Corrupted Underworld Crypt

For 15 Corrupted Charon’s Soul players can purchase Decay Scythe, as Charon is closely associated with death and the scythe fits theme best.

    5. Corrupted Sand-Swept Tomb

For 15 Corrupted Hashr’s Crown players can purchase Half-Moon Sword as it visuallu fits the dungeons’a aesthetic.

    6. Fallen Factory

For 15 Antikythera’s Chipt players can purchase Futuristic Spear.

    7. Corrupted Ice Barrows

For 15 Corrupted Theorick’s Premafrost players can purchase Froustbound Wand.

    8. Corrupted Undergrowth Ruins

For 15 Corrupted Slykar’s Heart players can purchase Slykar’s Relic.

    9. Corrupted Galleon’s Graveyard

For 15 Corrupted Redbeard’s Hair players can purchase the Pirate Cannon skin, since it is used during the dungeon itself.

    10. Eldritch Outlook

For 15 The Eye’s Pupil players can purchase Dernic Dagger, as during the introductory questst we are accompanied by Aledar, who is an assasin and this is the very dagger used to ultimately kill him.

As a result each class would gain acces to two cosmetic skins. The vast majority of cosmetics would still remain available through crates, so this system should not negatively impact server revenue or players, who already own these items. At the same time, at least a portion of players would be motivated to revisit and repeatedly complete various dungeons.

Of course those could be other cosmetics than those that I proposed, they just seemed to fit those dungeons.

I feel like this could be cool, honestly, though maybe it should award rare/epic cosmetics only. I too, am hoping for dungeon reworks and rebuilds across the board, though I believe a forgery rework is planned.

Hopefully they haven't forgotten about dungeons, but I am worried about that since there isn't any trace of a Fruman dungeon. Hopefully if there isn't one in Fruma proper, there will be in the wastelands, but that seems like an entirely unique piece of content.

Kind of agree but unique cosmetics would be much better imo. Another issue I have with this is that players are a lot less incentivized to get more cosmetics after you already got the only one you need, which doesn't really solve the inherent problem but instead kicks the can down the road.

Alright, I'm not gonna try to push those cosmetics that I proposed, as the ones that are the only ones that can be added. Maybe even could be created new cosmetics just for those dungeons or maybe could be used just the ones with unique rarity. And yes I agree that some people will still not be interested in dungeons, because they already have cosmetics they need. But some do not have the ones they need, and some people just want to get as many cosmetics as they can, to use different ones. But I agree that it is more of a temporary solution, but I think it is attractive and easy to add.

I think cosmetics as rewards for ingame progression is a bad idea. Right now we have the paid system of cosmetics almost entirely distinct from the free to play main game, and I think its better to keep it that way. HOWEVER, vanity items from this is not a bad idea, just not Wardrobe Cosmetics per se. Maybe a housing statue?

I think that not enough people would be satisfied with this solution. And I do not think that cosmetics would influence negatively current system. But of course it could be smothenig else, maybe alterantive spell effects and titles.

Or maybe something like trinkets? That would give passive abilities? For example while attacking an enemy we have some % to summon a falling eye that would deal damage and maybe poison enemies?
