Game Mechanics /fixskull command

There has been a rather bothering bug in the server that custom player skull items would randomly turn into default steve skulls. A possible way to somewhat fix it is through something like a "/fixskull" command.

The command, when used, would replace the item on the player's main hand with the correct skin. One possible way to make it work is to have a list of every item that uses a custom skull stored somewhere, and if the one in the player's main hand matches an item on the list, it would be replaced with a new one from that list. (reading back this probably doesn't make any sense)

Is there a possibility of something like this being added to the game?

 

Simple solution: play on 1.12.2
Also most of the items is still usable despite it becomes Steve head.

This happens with some items to me tho and I play in 1.12.2

And to op, I think this is a good suggestion as I find the skulls changing Annoying and it’s hard to find stuff sometimes
Plus I want say my water hive token to actually be distinguishable from the fire hive token

 

Well hive tokens are not distinguishable even in its normal custom head, you have hover to see them

it really bothers me that items do this, really detracts from the immersion. though, if there is a way to fix this, they would probably have done it by now
