Seeing what all your guesses was pretty neat. A lot of people seemed to guess pufferfish, likely because of that recent meme, but I wouldn't base my favorite sea creature on a video I saw just two months ago. Salmon, orca, and starfish were also common guesses.

My favorite aquatic creature is actually the Dunkleosteus. I've always been a fan of it's goofy-looking head ever since I saw one of its reconstructed skulls at a museum, so when I think about it, I'd say this prehistoric fish is probably my favorite sea creature, even if it no longer exists.

Looking back on my giveaway, I do realize that this creature was a bit too obscure. I felt like some people might have know about it a bit more, since the latest Pokemon games apparently have some new fossil Pokemon based on the Dunkleosteus, but for my giveaway no one guessed it.

The plazmavolt was talking about his guess the only one being extinct, I said I guessed mosasaurus, which is also extinct, so I think this is pretty relevant to the previous discussion.

I'd actually say the thread is still relevant - there's still a player who hasn't claimed their prize yet. Besides AnonymousEXE's post was only 11 days after the prior comment, which isn't that long of a time period.

 

Why haven't you hunted him/her down in-game?
