First Thing You Did In Minecraft

Ah, when we were noobs...fun times, eh?
I knew a little bit about minecraft - at the time I had been watching stampylongnose's earliest videos in his lovely world. Of course, stampy was playing on XBox Minecraft and the videos were about two years old at the time, as I recall. There were many differences between XBox Minecraft in his videos and Minecraft 1.7.4; so this is what it was like for me when I got the demo.

"WHOA! It looks so beautiful!"
"I'm gonna build my house inside that hill! Like a hobbit!"
"How do I craft a pickaxe? How about a sword? Can I at least make an axe?"

(My friend and I got the demo on the same day - later he told me how to craft a crafting table)
"Whoa! Now I can make tools!"

Then when I eventually got the full version of the game, I said "I'm gonna build a huge epic mansion!" I ended up with one big mess of oak planks and glass.
"Omg this chicken is following me!" I never found out he was following me when I held seeds until a few days later
"lol there's a flower in this cave" "What is that mysterious black guy?" *chops a tree with a pickaxe* "What the hell is that thing? An angry man in his bathrobe?" DarkSamus9000 was killed by Witch using magic "Omg! Gold! Now I can make some OP golden armor!"

Damn, this post is getting too long...must contain nostalgia.

 

I went into creative and tried to bonemeal a mushroom using a bone. Yes, I read it in the change log and couldn't find a bone in the creative inventory (it was so messy now that I look at it) and so I tried survival. I made a 5x5 hut and a much larger, like, 30x30 room with a pool in it. BEST PRIORITIES 2k11

 

I went into Creative Mode on a Superflat world, and tried to get a jacked-up enchanted sword.

... Yeah.

 

I made a world, built a house and made another world with the same seed to see if the house would be there.

 

The first thing I did was startup Minecraft.exe. Duh.

 

I created, which I still have now, world one. As I remember, I turned part of a cave into my home. That was way back, on the 22nd of February 2012 in 1.1. Good times...

Technically speaking, I'd seen my cousin play Minecraft in it's late Alpha stages, and I remember trying to play when he left for something.I guess technically that was the very first thing I did in Minecraft, but I started playing on my own in 1.1.

Ok, this is very dumb, but I had 'hacked' the game and played around in Creative Mode. My first world was beautiful.
So... I got a texturepack, built an ugly 5 story house (bedroom, cake + emerald, iron, diamond, OP gold stuff), made some intense parkour, put water/lava on every tree in a 120 chunk radius (spruce), show off to my cousin, make a house for her, built a simple railway system, make a cobble generator that exploded thanks to creepers, killed 8 pet wolves and finally learnt how to play on servers. Wow, I was such a noob...

 

I spawned and lava and died happy memory's

 

The first thing I ever did in Minecraft was build a tiny cave of dirt and play the only two records on the jukebox.

 

The first thing I did in Minecraft was on Demo, and I tried to move with the ARROW KEYS instead of W A S D.

 

Isn't this what everyone does?

 

I made a hole, then realized I coulden't place blocks (XD right click! RIGHT CLICK!)
Ah, the n00by days. When I thought that spiders were nice

 

I played pocket edition first - the free alpha version. I remember making enormous and hideous brick towers with nothing in them but stairs to the top. I then dived off the top into tiny pools of water like at a circus. They had glass roofs for sunlight. I also remember how difficult it was to make underwater builds of any kind. #Infinipools

Then I got wood ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

I built a dirt house without a roof and with a hole as a window. When night fell a creeper decided to stand outside that window and I tried to punch it, Little did I know that this creeper could explode by this... So he pulled the pin and blew up which resulted in a destroyed dirt house. I spent the rest of the night dying from skeletons.
Good times indeed.

 

I sat there and said to myself:
"Oooookayy, time to figure out how the hell to play this..."

Then google

Well.. The next thing I did was repetitively hit a tree, one hit at a time, thinking it would break.

Then google again

Then I made a house out of dirt. This wasn't the classic dirt house - it was a house made up of about 40 dirt blocks with only 2 blocks of inside space. I thought it would make it stronger.

Then google again, for about 5 hours.

*Facepalm*

1.8 beta where the best, and most scary days :(
I built a brick house, it was raining, night time, and a spider climbed up and attacked me...

...I was in creative mode and it scared the shit out of me anyway.

 

I built an island in the sky

Alpha was fun.

 

I was mining then I found a cave. In the cave there were few "blue ores". "OMG I FOUND DIAMONDS" but lapis dropped out after I mined the ore.

 

I punched a chest trying to open it with about 2 fps On the demo of minecraft :P Also Had to go on the weki to find out how to make a axe
