Hello, I was recently doing Taproot and Memory Paranoia.

Apparently, deaths warp you back to Olux or Gelibord, forcing you to essentially redo the whole quest.
I feel like (1) this is very inconvenient for the player, (2) wastes a lot of the player's time, and (3) heavily discourages the player from continuing the quest and playing in general (considering quests are a major source of xp). Based on my short time in the Discord server, this apparently is intentional. A similar issue happens with the quest where you assassinate a bandit leader in his camp far outside of Almuj (I can't remember the name of the quest).

Furthermore, parts of certain quest objectives are sometimes extremely vague, whether intentional or not, and sometimes makes further navigation difficult. Example is say, escaping a flaming mansion through the back door, which for some reason is on the top floor. I understand if the player is meant to search for the objective themselves, but when the next area is an entirely unexpected location and hard to find, things become annoying, on top of dying and having to redo the whole quest.

That being said, I'm sure some system for warping back to the current step of your current quest after a death might be a good idea. Some people on Discord claimed that such a system is already in place but obviously that didn't happen to me.

Overall I feel like quests like Taproot and Memory Paranoia look cool at first glance, but end up being increasingly frustrating when things go wrong. Cringe as it may seem, I've lost most of my interest in Wynncraft due to having to redo these quests from the bottom up, and honestly don't feel like playing anymore.

    Thanks for understanding.

Should also point out dying in a journey further just tp's you to before the void holes where you're getting past the wall. So custom respawn points are definitely possible it seems.

hello I was there being especially unhelpful to you on discord

    but either way
quest respawn points are quest-to-quest; older quests (aka quests before 1.19) simply don't have such mechanics
they added the "you can redo quest steps" thing as a bandaid fix or as a failproof (I think) simply because going through every quest and adding quest warps with failsafes and locks and all that complicated stuff takes a lot of time and they would have to put a stop on everything for a long time just to fix this one issue alone

which if you ask me is a good investment of your time (increases player retention) but I'm not ct so what can I say
