Boats were glitchy before you added the hybrid 1.9
They've always been glitchy as hell

We already have a quest making fun of fetch quests, The Ultimate Weapon.

I don't know why you're calling it the very fun place, how am I supposed to take in the mob variety and enjoy it when all the mobs just walk into/spawn in the walls?

 

While boats have always been glitchy, it was a bit hard to tell how much. Again, this was tested a lot and no issues were found. I'll look into seeing what I can do about fixing. I know you'll probably say "just remove it" but a lot of work was put into it so I'd prefer to simply change it instead of removing.

The key word here is that it makes fun of excessive grinding, the kind where you spend hours killing the EXACT SAME MOB over and over again just to get a ridiculous number of its drops. You know like how you need 24 Rotten Flesh for some stupid reason in Grave Digger. The difference in this quest is that there is variety to the grinding and it isn't done too crazy. Not to mention there's an explanation for it and not "Prove to me how strong you are by bringing me a bunch of useless junk"

Never saw any mobs walking into or spawning in walls. I think something must've gone a bit glitchy.

Anyways I think we've derailed this topic enough. This thread is about Featured Wynncraftians.

Oh you're right it is. While we're here arguing over quests, how about Confused Farmer, amirite?

 

I liked the original green skinned troubles more.

About Fantastic Voyage:

When I first came up with the basic idea, I wanted it to be something like "get on a ship, get rekt, now survive".
I really wanted to make a custom crafting system, and I think it's a really good theme.

With out very limited quests system, most of the quests look the same. Go there, grind here, solve puzzles, etc...
I'm working hard to think about new concepts, to make more creative and original content.
For Aldorei's Secret Part 2, I came up with the speedrun concept. For this quest I came up with the boats concept. We came up with few more of those for the next update.
We tested the boats part sooo many times on the GM server, and it was super easy. I even planned on making it harder, but then decided to keep it easy and fun. Unfortunately, the main server is lagging hard most of the time - and lag can break even the best puzzles. Personally, when I did FV on the main server I just did it on an empty server and had no problems at all.
(BTW, the terrain for this boat part was my first terrain ever. I think it's really good for my first try!)

The ending is weird. We know. It meant to be weird and mysterious. As I said, we wanted you to theorize about it.
If you finished the quest and just thought "WTF just happened?!??", then we succeeded.

The end of the quest was just annoying the first time, you don't even talk to an npc, it's like finding the light or forbidden prison. SUPER annoying when you don't have your xp gear on or dxp when you finish it because it just ENDS on it's own!

 

So the only problem with it is the random ending?
Does it mean that I convinced you the quest is great after all? ;)

 

I appreciate what you tried, the builds are amazing and the concept is good
The execution + the lag + the fetch quest part + the random ending make it meh for me

 

It doesn't end on its own, you talk to an NPC. Unless I'm mistaken and there's a bug, which I don't think is the case since I've seen people discussing the reward, the Pendant of Prosperity.

 

Abandon did anyone record Grian's speech on the new update i really wanna hear it and was unable to attend

Wynncon was an event founded by those honoured in this thread;
however, there was and is a huge team working with them. During Wynncon a lot of staff & community members hold speeches, talking about
their experience. Grian himself showed up, talking about future updates, and even games were played later.
