    Wait. Do you want us to solve for x' or x? Because when you differentiate with respect to theta, you inevitable will get x' in your equation.

    Differentiate equation from Question 1 with respect to theta, then make x the subject using algebra. That's all there is to it. Need to show all working though.

    Here's my second attempt at the problem, which is most likely prone to errors as well. I tried making Salkasm's original formula simpler using the double angle formula for sin(2theta) and then finding the derivative. Hopefully one of my two methods are correct...

    It definitely looks cleaner than the previous one at least, probably because I took out all of those unnecessary sine and cosines.
