I mean tbh, we interact with the seaskipper more consistently than pretty much any other character in the game, so it's not all that surprising that he's in the finals IMO. He's basically a consistent presence for everyone from level 25 until like level 80, when the player unlocks airship travel and the last few ocean quests. Combined with being generally likeable and giving free stuff to players, and he's basically going to be the most consistently liked or at least well-known person on the list. Gale has an interesting story but that story isn't all that accessible outside of holiday events, and we only really get some pretty basic one liners in her boss fight, while Ava has a periphery hate-dom and is only really around for two quests in the endgame. They're good quests, sure, but she doesn't really have that much presence outside of them.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that the only reason Death's made it this far is because they had some really weak matchups; The first two rounds and the semifinal were basically free for various reasons, which meant that there were only really two rounds where there was actual competition. Of those, Antikythera was, realistically speaking, in pretty much the same boat as Death (being a one-off expy of a famous character who was relatively lucky in the first few rounds). Which essentially just leaves Qira as the only real contender that he actually had to face, and that matchup was naturally pretty close.

 

Hopefully next poll includes new quest characters such as clight, bread man, jaspur etc

 

will there be a vote between some losers to decide who's gonna end higher, such as gale and ava n so on?

 

I’m kinda considering it yeah, but I’m not sure how it would work, and I think interest in this completion will end once the finals do.

 

Gale doesn’t get that much imo. Also most of it is not available anymore

ava is Ava and Jesus Christ I am tired of the simping. Also, I personally don’t like the way she talks and acts in much of the quest. It kinda hits an uncanny valley between normal questing and fluid conversation

 

I am guessing you disagree with what happened to Lari in this competition.

well, to be entirely honest, she probably deserved to beat her own bracket before getting shattered into tiny pieces by theorick, but i still rank would rank her quite low because while a lot was attempted with her i don't think much of that actually properly hit- i'm not really gonna go into it deeply here but her character is inconsistent, unintentionally irritating, gets pushed into random quests & makes them worse and overall is just pretty disappointing for how much quest time she eats up (especially for the realm of light quests- they're just lari fucks around and never finds out for 4 quests and then a huge lore dump and then a harsh lore break lol)
