Emojis in Game!

Hello!

Hope all is well. I came up with the idea while playing on another server and it occurred to me that Wynncraft doesn't have emotes for ingame. I think it would be awesome to get some custom emojis (:crying:, :heart eyes:, etc.) I know that roleplay can occur on the server and I think that it would also just be a cute feature to add. I think you could also make some really cool emoji packs to sell on the store. The possibilities are endless, you could do themed emojis based on the seasons, based on your class, etc.

Let me know your thoughts down below! Do you have any suggestions on emoji packs?

 

this would be cool but immediate problems i see are 1) does the wynnpack have enough space for emoji? 2) any emoji would be either hardcoded into MC, retextured special characters, or both, which i doubt are compatible with :discord-style: emojis.

If anyone reading this is on windows, Win Key + Full Stop will open a special character window that has emoticons/kaomoji, which might be a workable stopgap, but again hard code limitations mean that I doubt easy emojis in chat are possible.

The pack can be as big as you want it to be. It would have to be a separate plugin that understands the “::” - it is very easily done in development. I also don’t think the 15x15 pixel size would interfere with gameplay or storage.
