Actually, Salted made this when he did Gavel Teaser 13.
EDIT: Anyway, onto the thread topic: I think I will stay with my current defence/intel build. Why? Water and fire are usually opposites, so I doubt there will be a mob with both. Also, this means lots of tanky health and defence, though I will be slow. Then the water helps regen mana, makes me have more mana and even helps the healing spell (I'll be using a new level 1 dark wizard for Gavel). So the only downside is medium attack speed and slightly slower movement. Then again, I've got used to mage, so this makes no difference whatsoever. On other downsides, I may take more elemental damage in other areas. Still, you can't have everything perfect. Time for me to destroy my enemies!

Already trying to plan out my Mage build. Should I go water-fire to go 50-50, or water-fire-lightning to go 50-25-25 (planning on just armor currently, as I'm not sure how this would work on weapons)

You don't have to tell me which subclasses you're aiming for, I honestly don't know what I will be aiming for, but I hope to be a Jack of All Trades

1. Water
2. Air
3. Thunder

Water seems extremely overpowered for assassin, with the multihit, which is why I chose it. (I'll have to do something else for my warrior ;-;)

 

Sorry...I'm not able to create a guide that will help you create a subclass that is actually catered to that class without ruining the armour and weapons you have, I can give you details to help you understand which class is catered to a single subclass, it appears that weapons for mages usually require intelligence. The item system put in the game really ruins the possible diversity. I will continue with the plan that this is a guide by giving information on what the game wants you to spend points on.
Tl;Dr, I'll be adding information for a small guide, but not a large guide to share ideas on what subclasses are good with which class
