Elemental Hive Token Alternative

So, this suggestion is trading in your elemental tokens in Qira's Hive. Some people just do not want those items. So instead, I am suggesting that you turn in your tokens to a Token Buyer in the Hive Shop. You would get 1 LE for the Thunder Division, 2 LE for the Air Division, 3 LE for the Earth Division, 4 LE for the Water Division, 5 LE for the Fire Division, and 8 LE for the Master Token. Nah... That doesn't sound like a good idea, since A) I have a bad feeling about it, better to stay with the current system and B) People are going to want refunds and C) you don't get the idea of a reward that the GMs wanted you to get

Maybe there could be a way to buy back tokens, but it would be inconveniently expensive? Like tokens. Tokens could be sold for 2LE and bought for 8LE or 12LE (although I think Master Tokens should not be able to be bought OR sold).

Being able to buy Hive items for any sum of money is just...no. They're locked behind the tokens for a very good reason.

 

but you would just get some money instead of having items that you don't want. You would only sell your own. What reason?

 

That's the no. I'd have to take it up with people to see if anything would be done with the money, though I personally am against that simple on the principle of the matter.

I am a packrat by nature and it manifests itself quite strongly in games like this. I love the whole "earn spiffy item by completing arduous task" system.

What I would want to change is the smegging lack of storage to actually make collecting logistically possible. I rarely spend real-world money on games like this, but being able to purchase a vault, not just a second enderchest, to amass the vast amount of toys I eventually plan on having would cause the cash to burst out of my metephoric wallet, tear a hole through the side of my britches and shoot through the wires into the Wynncraft Treasury like in Wreck-it Ralph.

I would want mine to look like Smaug's hoard, piles of emeralds spilling out in all directions, such that I could swim in them Scrooge McDuck style. Around the edges, three walls worth of armor stands to display my hard won suits/sets/Frankenstein builds the fourth wall would be filled with chests of trinkets, finished off with racks of exotic pointy things with-which to inflict greivous injury upon my foes.

Unlike banks, these vaults would have to have a fixed location. So banks and the existing enderchest system would remain a requirement as we wonder the country side. But when your loot/winnings exceed your bank inventory, it'll require a trek to the vault under city "X".

Just a humble suggestion of course.

Alternate suggestion, if you choose not to buy items with the vouchers, you should be able to trade them for an armor skin that says...

yeah, maybe that is, but then why give 8 LE in ToA? It would fit in.

Because toa was added back when the max level was 75 and the best weapon was bob's and it was overpowered af and giving a better item will be too op and giving a weaker item would have been useless.

 

okay, but then how does that change the matter of Hive Tokens

 

The hive was added when the max level was raised and when a ton of new quests were added, you can easily get a stack of le from just quests, money isnt an issue anymore.
Also when it was added there wasn't an op endgame set so the hive filled up that slot.
