I am not saying he shouldn't have it, one again. In fact, it would be great to have a non-CT to be FW. I'm just a bit annoyed at @CringeAura for saying this:

regardless of the creator of that mods decisions, scythe credited the person that he got inspiration from. which he has stated was not you. so to tarnish his reputation for the actions of another player isn’t very fair or cool. just because you do not hold a monopoly over wynn mods doesn’t give you a reason to be salty about scythes nomination.

At least Wynn Expansion has more credibility than Wynncraft Enhanced as of late.

 

that doesn’t even make sense lol. he gave credit to who he needed to. if i write a story building on the plot of story A and cite that story then it’s perfectly ok. even if it turns out that that story was based on story B then it’s really not my problem. because i didn’t use story B when writing my work, i used story A. you keep going on and on about “he stole this!!! not fair!!” and it is so childish. not everything revolves around your mod my dude. no flame, no bully, i’m just stating facts. have you noticed who has been the antagonist in this whole mod situation? because scythe has not said anything against you. you constantly talk bad about him and claim things about him and his mod that just aren’t true and it is ridiculous. the way the you are demanding credit just makes me think that you are jealous of the popularity of his mod and his fw nomination. but unlike you, scythe does not demand credit and attention. he’s a good person who just wants a better gameplay experience for wynn players. he has never harassed anyone, flamed anyone, or talked bad about them or their work. can you say the same for you? if you think he is such a bad person then just vote no and move on.. the way that you constantly talk bad about him and his mod just tarnishes your own reputation. there is no reason to keep bickering in a thread meant to celebrate scythe. he has never gone out of his way to hurt you so just move on for fucks sake lol.

and mods if you decide to remove this or any of my comments, i highly suggest removing his too because they are toxic af, lies, and really don’t have a place here.

It really is time to chill. First, there are only so many ways that you can write code in the same language in order to perform the same function. Second, if anyone wants to write a mod for Minecraft, and claim that they own the ideas in it, therefore no one else can use it, take it up with Mojang. I don't really believe that their claim for copyright will stand up with Mojang or Microsoft.

If this devolves into a flame war, I'm going to thread ban the party(ies) who flame, not the peacekeepers. Now, go have some Halloween candy, kick back, and play some Wynncraft.

 

Hey, a different opinion here (careful there Yogi!). I think that regardless of who he was in the past, or what the author of this thread states about him, the fact still stands that he's helped the community in his own way whether that be "borrowing" ideas or making his own. I, myself, do not use his Expansion although I can certainly see why a lot of people do. He's impacted the community hence why his nomination for Featured Wynncraftian is valid and I'm sure most of you can agree. Again, I do not know him personally (or even at a layman level for that matter) but just solely from a bystanders standpoint he seems to have gained enough merit for a FW. Now I can understand that there are certain issues that may evolve from creating something similar to someone elses product but much like the endless sea of social media platforms, they all have their own selling points and are all "inspired" from one another (whether that inspiration be essentially a carbon copy or not).

At the end of day, the author has done nothing but praise a person he deems worthy to be a FW and nothing is wrong with that. Let's all try to get along as best as we can! Cheers ^-^
