I like to imagine putting her in a web made a big difference.
...It probably didn't but I like to imagine that it did.

 

I think the Wand of Web singlehandedly won this battle, actually.

 

What, were her melee attacks super powerful or something?

4d6+6 damage, plus knocked prone

The only reason she didn't do that is because of disadvantage b/c of Web

 

An average maul attack from her does 40 damage, or enough to Massive Damage auto-kill Alas from full health with slightly above average rolls.

 

Yeah, that's not terrible.
Web, although working properly, didn't stop much.
It'd put it on the action econ that won this fight.

 

Heat: "They stare, point, and insult but they're too scared of us to fight. It shouldn't matter if they don't want to serve us. It'll just.. complicate things to say the least."

 

Caligo: "Unless the innkeeper's an asshole. I'm all down for killing someone, but that tends to complicate things."

 

Yevor: "Wait, what?"

 

Caligo: "If the innkeeper's an asshole, he probably won't let us stay there. It's not really complicated."

 

Yevor: "And you're going to kill him?"

 

Caligo: "If it comes to that, sure. It's not like refusing service warrants killing, I'm just saying that if it comes down to it, I won't care."

 

Yevor: "..."
Yevor: "If it comes to that, I won't let you kill an innocent."

 

Caligo: "Shucks, guess I'll have to kill you, too."

 

Yevor: "So be it..."
