I run into the building, draw my frost brand and a shortsword, and slash twice at Archanea.

To hit: 12 + 3 DEX + 2 prof = 17. hit.
To hit: 15 + 3 + 2 = 20. hit

Damage 1: 3 + 3 = 6 (no resistance because magical weapons)
Frost Damage: 3
Damage 2: 5 + 3 = 8 / 2 = 4
