So as you enter, the dude from the Main Hall (not the robed one but the townsperson) comes and greets you.

"From yer scratched-up apparel, I take it you entered the forest?"

 

Kyelas: "Yes, yes we did, and I don't know how we EVER thought that to be a good idea."

OOC Florfy5: "Come on Kyelas, I know your Intelligence and Wisdom stats aren't as high as my backup character, but 15 in each should be enough for you to have a sense of danger!"

 

Yevor: "Looks like you were right."

 

"As yee can see, that undead plague going around ain't never gon touch us, we have a bigger problem. Our village makes our living from cutting wood. But ever since the Fey started infesting the place, god knows what we will do. The forest has always had strong ties with the Feywild, perhaps our cutting made the Fey angry? In any case, they started attacking the village. Only thing that could hold them off was the old salt trick. That don't stop them from attacking every poor soul that enters the woods though! We can't cut lumber if we can't get to the trees! Plus the forest is the only way to get to the big city by the river, which has the only bridge. In any case, I ought to tell the Mayor you are back. He will want to talk to you."

He starts to walk away, but turns for one last remark:

"Hey demon lad! One of yer kin came through here earlier, yee might wana talk to the barkeep"

 

Alas : "I think I'm the "demon" ... Well ! I need to go guys, someone need the wonderful Eres !"
*Go talk to the barkeep.*

 

The barkeep is drying a cup with a rag, as all barkeeps always do, and looks at you as you come over.

He is an older man. Bald on top with a bit of grey hair circling the sides and back of his head. He wears a brown smock.

"Ey laddy! Yer friendo wobbled in ere orderin a rume for ya. Big 'orns and de like. Said wen the next Tieflin' wakz in ere, tell em dat Alas and friends should go up to der suite room up top. Now yee said to dem dat yer name be Eres, so I 'ave no clue what he was thinkin. None de less, stairs are in da back.

Strange fella, wuldn't even give me 'is name. Jerst said "He who gives 'imself new life", whatever dat means..."

 

Alas : "Thanks for the info lady ! Going to look for my... "friends" !"
In mind : "Oh shit why he want to see the others too..."

Also it was never stated his name was Alas, the barkeep explained that "He who gives himself new life" must have made a mistake with the names
